Updating Documents for Common Law Sponsorship

Hello,

I have applied for Common law sponsorship. I have sent the information of my current passport for the process. However, my current passport will expire soon and I am going to get a new passport.

Once I get a new passport can I send that information to CIC? Will they accept it ? I am sure it will increase the time it would take for them to process the application. When should I submit the new information?

Yes, send a copy to IRCC as soon as you get the new passport. Updating a passport doesn't cause delays; expect delays due to COVID-19.
