AgreeThis is not good situation for anyone . Let’s keep this thread alive and update each other as we here info regarding COPR holders travel.
So you should change thread's name.In this Thread we are trying to discuss about situations where people have expiry date in few days or a month...man you are in September...it is still far...you are safe..in case you have any information then please update us...otherwise I wouldn't worry about your situation knowing that my CoPR will expire in less than a month!!!! Come.on guys !
what is issue, US does not allow non-essential travel to Canada.Hypothetically, if I fly to US on visit visa, stay at a hotel for 14 days, and then fly to Canada on CoPR, that should technically work
Read the new info.Yes family of citizen but not PR. I have seen and listened to the info.
Thread name is clear: CoPR Coronavirus ....its about people with CoPR who wants to enter to canada while coronavirus is being the reason for travel ban...what can we do ? Are we allowed or not?? What are the solutions?? Can they expend our visa .?So you should change thread's name.
Not sure what further clarification you need.I'm really surprised how CIC/IRCC haven't clarified the most burning question that all people with CoPR have.
A) Will Borders remain closed for COPR holders until 30th June?
B) if so, what happens to people who were unable to travel and now have expired CoPR and PRV.
Answering these will help put a lot of anxious people at ease with more clarity and assurance that they will not have to go through a lengthy application process again.
Hopefully this site/resource is reliable. This is good news for me.https://www.cicnews.com/2020/03/canada-clarifies-who-is-affected-by-coronavirus-travel-ban-0313934.html#gs.0ymait
This answers the speculations on this thread..

thanks; however, in the meantime, non-essential travel is banned -- which raises the question: how does this order juxtapose with essentiality of the travel? Not sure what further clarification you need.
1. COPR holders who haven't landed are foreign nationals. Foregin nationals are banned except those that meet one of the exemptions. https://orders-in-council.canada.ca/attachment.php?attach=38952&lang=en
2. Those who can't travel need to inform IRCC and apps will be re-opened. IRCC is not going to make people reapply if they are unable to land because of COVID-19. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/service-delivery/coronavirus/permanent-residence.html#Approved_permanent_residence
Landing as a PR is not essential.thanks; however, in the meantime, non-essential travel is banned -- which raises the question: how does this order juxtapose with essentiality of the travel?
Anyone entering Canada is "an immigration related issue", so yes, they are still processing the people who are able to travel to Canada. Once the ban is lifted, they will continue to process people who are able to travel to Canada..Even if they allow people to board flights after June 30, will CBSA process their landing procedure when people arrive in Canada? CBSA seems to define immigration related issues as non-essential for now. And there is no deadline as to when immigration related issues will be resumed by CBSA
