1) Sounds like they need a handwritten signature, double check the checklist and see what docs required handwritten signatures. This is probably one of them.

2) would you risk the application on a camscanner app? That's up to you but I suggest to make an effort to get somebody to scan this for your wife, be it through a friend or business... especially if this form generates barcodes

I think it is asking for you to fill out personal history from 2019 to present. Make sure you fill it in the way the form requires and just sign it. And yes, mobile scanning should be fine.

The form did have a requirement for handwritten signature but it does not generate barcodes. I guess you are right, I will try and get the scanned copy.

Does it matter if I upload the documents from Canada to her GCKey account or does she have to do it herself? Basically, will that be a problem if I upload documents for her? I know it may sound like a stupid question but one of my friend suggested that she should be uploading it since she is in the home country and I am in Canada and CIC may know where the document got uploaded from...

I do not think it really matters who upload the information from where. But since we are all extra paranoid its better that PA uploads it.

Do you recieve confirmation that it has passed via email (outside of GC KEY)? I cannot link to GC key because we went through a lawyer. It is saying we would have to remove our representative if we want to link ourselves To GC Key. Which I do not want to do.

Don't worry. as long as you don't get it back in the mail. You'll be fine. Unfortunately some people end up waiting longer than others. I'm still waiting for SA wil many in FEB have gotten it. Ever case is different. Would be nice if everything was done in order.


Too soon for you to worry. You will hear something soon. Some people get lucky and hear right away. Some get in a lazy pile as I'll call it. Some even get misplaced and logged in later. I've seen it happen in January.

u won't receive AOR if your package is sent back to you it is like u never apply

That's just how they do it...Don't shoot the messenger. AOR1 basically means they received a complete application to start working on. That's why so many people can't wait to at least get AOR1. Less worry if they need something small they will ask.

I'm a common-law outland applicant, I went to NY to visit my family then returned to Canada. My Medical was supposed to be today in Canada but they called and asked about the last time I left the country and rescheduled me because they said I should self-quarantine for at least 14 days due to Covid-19 precautions but that date they were fully booked already so I'm even further delayed and my Medical will be 1 day before it's due date. I'm just frustrated.

I just want them to notify everybody that they have at least recieved the application. It's on file or on queue to be process or checked by an officer.

You don't get email about the result for medical. You can ask your lawyer to see if he/she linked your application to their GCkey.

I am PR sponsoring my spouse. I have to leave Canada in July to attend court where my spouse and i are dealing with custody for my stepdaughter. Would leaving the country affect sponsorship?

Do you know how many days between recieved AOR and LVO? or how many days after medical/bio was completed?
