My ECAS is showing application received but i havent received any email.

Is there anybody here who applied for a tourist visa for spouse after submitting the application? Does it affect your PR application in case of refusal? What are the chances of getting a tourist visa? Any recommendations?

Lots of people have done so. Chances are it will be denied as most are, but not all the time. Every once in a while somebody does get through. If you are denied it won’t affect your application. A lot of people have visitor refusals and their applications are successful. You can always try, but don’t be surprised if it is denied.

I personally never bothered. My husband and I filed Outland from within Canada. He left to go back to New Zealand for the process and remained there until COPR while I was in Canada. It was tough but we survived. Doesn’t hurt to try though if you really want to.

The Ecas will show “In progress” again and that’s AOR2. You should also see under the PA section it should say “we started to process your application on xxxx” for the second point.

Here is my timeline so far:

Application type: Outland - Pakistan

- Application submitted: 20 JAN
- AOR: 01 FEB
- Biometric request: 12 FEB
- Biometric completed: 13 FEB
- Medical request: 13 FEB
- Sponsorship Approval: 13 FEB
- Medical completed: 24 FEB
- Medical received: 29 FEB
- File Transfer to London Office: 09 MAR

Less than 2 months and your file already got sent to LVO. That’s fantastic! Congrats on AOR2!

I have recieved the biometrics instruction letter today and changed to “Decision Made” on Sponsorship Application Status from “In Process” Does it means the Sponsorship Approved?

And why I didn’t get request for medical exam at the same time with biometrics?

They don't always come at the same time, Sometimes a day or few...Sometimes months depending on the VO. Yes it's SA...That letter will be separate as well. Congrats.

I've given up waiting, my assumed 30 days BF is on Mar 19th. I got additional info request on 18 Feb and the letter said I must provide within 30 days of this letter. FUCK! 30 day to review a form is obserd espically when we are able to upload via web form vice snail mail!
