Common Law in Canada as an International

I am an international and came to Canada for studying in 2016 and graduated from college in 2018 and I got my diploma. I also have my work permit too.However, I do not work right now, Me and my boyfriend want to apply for Common Law. He had an refugee status but now he got his PR. (he came to canada in 2016) However, he is not working right now. In order to apply for common law.
1-Does he have to sponsor me ?
2-Does he have to work?
3-Can you please give me some information how can I find these types of questions and answers?

When did you start living together? When did he become a PR?

But he did refugee claiment in 2016 and got his pr in 2019. We shared the same house.we were friends at first. Our relationship started after he applied for his refugee claim. He is lgbt. So he can never do common law with someone?

It doesn't matter if the relationship started after he submitted his app. He was required to add you when you became common-law before he became a PR.

Did he claim refugee status on the basis of being gay?

Yes. He is gay

What if he wants to marry ?
does he still need to sponsor ?

I do not mind. We are just trying to survive paying bilss , mortgage and etc suppor eachother. Sexuality is not important. Eveybody has different preferences and point of views.
