Hi All,

Applied within Canada, CEC.
AOR on Sep 27 2019
Did the 2nd Med on Oct 16 upon request
Called IRCC last week and was told that everything else is complete except Med is still under review.
Given the fact that there are only 4 weeks to 6 months, what else should I do other than patiently waiting?

@legalfalcon could you please help me as well? Thank you so much!

I called CIC a week ago and they said eligibility not started yet. Background is under process, security not started yet. I’ll get my GCMS notes on 18th March as I ordered them last month. Thank you @legalfalcon for your time. I missed job duties in my foreign work experience which I later submitted through webform. Is it because of that?
Given that your AoR is September, your eligibility should be done by an assistant or an analyst and awaiting a final review by an officer. If you did submit some documents later, that by itself is not a reason for the delay. However, just wait for the GCMS notes and you will know the details.

If everything is done, then no need to worry. However, the meds are usually the first thing to be done, unless you have a request for addition meds tests or did a remed.

I think I might be in the same situation as you. But are you sure your remedical (this means your old medical was about to expire) request came on 16 October 2019? It seems so soon after your AOR unless you mean you received the remedical request on 16 February 2020?

My AOR is 26 September. FSW-O. I received remedical request on 20 January. Passed on 14 February. No update since then.

This is very normal. No need to be concerned about. To know the exact status you can call IRCC and ask if your eligibility is met, which is the most important stage. Also, you can consider requesting GCMS notes.
Thank you.

Yes, IRCC requested re-med a week after my AOR. i submitted the 2nd one on oct 16 and the call center agent said the 2nd med was received on Oct 23.
but no update on Med since then.

Hello,

I'm getting really anxious and depressed, my aor is September 26th, PNP-Outland, VO sydney, my criminality background check is valid but eligibility still pending and security check not started.. i'm seeing many of september and october aor already have their PPR, I don't understand what is taking this long and I'm afraid that after waiting so long my application is rejected although i provided all requested documents... only 22 days to go to 6 months period after aor... I really need this to start a new life and don't how to have any other plans with all my hopes to go to canada as soon as possible... yep this residency is almost my only chance, i have a great resume but that didn't really help me to find a job in a developed country where most companies don't offer visa sponsorship...

That's strange. When was your initial med expiring?

Its just about patience in the end. AOR 30th September 2019. 27days left. We are all waiting. So don't worry everything will turn out fine.

Hey, don't worry, we are all in the same boat and we're all waiting for the golden e-mail. AOR 17th Sep 2019, 14days left, VO Ottawa. ( criminality, eligibility, security status the same as yours) There are many cases, in which people still get their PR after a 6 month period. Be patient, everything is gonna be all right!

Don't worry. We are all on the same boat, buddy. You are not alone. I have the same AOR as you but FSW-O and the file is in my local VO. Sydney VO is slower than Ottawa and for some reason PNP is much slower than FSW. If one's file does not end up Review Required (RR), I observed these trends: CEC receives PPR about 4 months after AOR, FSW receives about 5 months after AOR, and finally PNP receives about 6 months after AOR. This is MY observation so could be wrong.

You can find people from Sydney VO to know the dates they are currently processing (specially look for PNP trends). Luckily, your file is in VO where you will find a lot of applicants share trends and also you are able to get info by calling IRCC. Since my file is outside Canada, I do not have either of those benefits.

I suggest you to order GCMS notes just to ensure everything is in order (most likely the notes will contain actions done by the first two officers). I got my first GCMS a month and a half ago and everything was in order. This week, I am going to order the second notes.

Yes, IRCC requested re-med a week after my AOR. i submitted the 2nd one on oct 16 and the call center agent said the 2nd med was received on Oct 23.
but no update on Med since then.
You will then have to wait for the meds to pass. You can also contact your panel physician and ask for your med report to see if the parameters are within the normal range.
