Hello All, I just wanted to provide an update. My mother landed successfully at the Lansdowne POE office (Lansdowne Thousand Islands Bridge). We drove up from New York City, I would definitely recommend this border office for flag poling, it is not busy and the officers are quite nice. All the best to everyone.

Did you mean medical was "passed" in April? Or did you get it done as in "went and did the medical exam" in April? If it is the former, ATIP request along with a status request via CIC webform should help. But, there are people who are in similar situations awaiting PPR after medical "passed" status.

Medical was done in April, and i believe passed after couple of days/Weeks. I had already sent request via Webforms. The answer is we are still in processing timelines .

The question is, medical is almost near to expire. Why CIC takes that long for Police background check? The longer time can cause medical to expire and Parents has to do all over again. If police background check that long then why CIC ask for medical when it knows, it will expire.

Or , medical won't expire, because police check would finished before that. May be that would be the case.

Not sure, it is complicated.. CIC office is working it own way...

I have received the passport request for my mother. The request letter states that I need to submit a passport at the Ottawa visa processing office. Now the problem is my mother is in Pakistan since her temporary visit visa has expired. At the time of processing her sponsorship in 2018, she was with us in Canada. Therefore, her permanent address was added as a Canada address. Later towards the end of 2019 when CIC requested updated information (such as travel history, visits etc) we provided the information to CIC and it clearly states that when she left Canada and stays in Pakistan.

Now, the countdown is on of 30 days to submit the passport to Ottawa. Now, what should I do in this situation? Has anyone has experienced a similar situation?

I wouldn't sweat a bit because quite a few people have gone through this already before and they all landed successfully. In addition to webform, I'd call CIC and ask them so you can get the answer quickly instead of waiting for webform response which could take a while. But, generally speaking, your mom will be allowed to send her passport to the local visa office responsible for issuing PR visa.

This PR completion Timeline is showing May 2, 2020. Still background check is in progress ? Why it’s taking too much time? Is someone from delhi office received Passport request recently? What else I can do to get update?
