Question: if you have stamps in a different language in your passport, do you have to translate them?
I would highly suggest you translate them before your interview. I was asked to have them translated after my interview. They may not ask to see them but if they do at least you won’t be delayed.

I am still waiting. I’m an April applicant, from Mississauga.
What’s your location?
I actually just realized I don't know my location. When I applied I was living in Hamilton and than I changed my address to downtown Toronto. How do I find out my location?

Hi. Does anyone know how to translate a non-English stamp on a passport page into English?

I had a trip to Copenhagen, Denmark, that would account for some absence I had within my eligibility period. The stamp has a simple image of a plane, the country code DK, and the word KOBENHAVN. That's it; nothing else.

Two questions:
1. If I go to a Notary Public office, are they capable of translating from any language into English, which is Danish in my case?
2. If they mange to translate that stamp, do I need to visit yet another Notary Public office to have the translation itself notarized?

The application is still in Process. Location: Ajax. I did receive GCMS notes. My security clearance is done. But not sure why it's taking so long.

What is the next step after this?

My timeline:
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 11, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on June 20, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on July 31, 2019
Same application process. Nothing update after 31 july. Still waiting

In My GCMS notes I see the below
Assessments:
Knowledge: In progress
Residence: Not started
Language: Not started
Prohibition: Not started
Criminality: Passed
Can someone explain what exactly are these??
Which part of the gcms notes did you see this? I received mine but it's all not shown. They only shown copies of the documents I submitted.

Hi Guys I had my oath ceremony last Thursday and finally a Canadian citizen now. Thank you all for all the information shared. Congrats to all who have completed the process and all the best to all awaiting for the process to be complete!

I called and was told that my processing center is Scarborough.

Finally received my FOIA US Entry Exit records, took about 2 1/2 months to receive them. Submitted them to citizenship Canada today so hopefully I can get some movement on my application soon.

If knowledge is in progress probably you are getting test invites very soon. That’s what I am assuming. I got my GCMS back in January and knowledge was not started and I got my test invite today so I assume that should changed to in process on my file.

I Already given my test in Sept and this notes was requested after that on Dec. Thats why i am still not sure about these checks.
At the time of test they said it will take 2-3 months for the oath but i havent heard anything till now even after 5 months.

Is there enough parking space at the Scarborough centre? I do not want to stress myself out looking for a parking slot shortly before the test. I would rather commute on a bus or subway.

My spouse had her citizenship test in Mississauga yesterday. She passed, but during interview they said you have alot of trips to USA so we need to verify those details with USA. So they asked her to sign a consent form to access her information from US. They also matched all the stamps on her passport with the dates we had provided in the citizenship application form, which matched.

Not sure how long it is going to delay the oath invite.

Even though interviewer wanted to check my spouse USA travel history last Thursday during the interview, I checked today the status is updated to Decision Made. Hopefully will get the oath invite soon.
