As an aside does anyone remember when it opened last year? It looks like the only mention of it being open for applications was in September 2019, but surely it would have been open prior to this.

That can't be right - the intake was paused in April 2019 so it must have opened prior to that before being opened again in August.

For the online profile, the increase of 1% progress per week seems to be just automatic. The start-end dates are 78 weeks apart and by the time we get AoR, 60 days have passed (Approx 8 weeks, so 8-10% progress is shown)

From and including: Friday, January 3, 2020
To, but not including Saturday, July 3, 2021

Result: 547 days
It is 547 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date.
Or 1 year, 6 months excluding the end date.
Or 18 months excluding the end date.

I think you will get it before this time. I have a friend who applied in this same stream and he got the PR in exactly 363 days

That's exactly it. It paused in April and reopened August 27, closing again on September 23. That was super fast! I know people that didn't have enough time to prepare the documentation to apply.

It actually closed 3 days before I signed my working contract in April!! I was in shock

I would recommend you to have all the documentation ready and enter every day to OINP web site to check if they open the stream. As soon as they do it, you should enter and reserve a spot, after that, you will have 15 days to submit your application, but if in the meantime the stream is closed, you still will have your spot.
That is what I did in August!

Thanks for the tip! I didn’t realise you could do it this way, I’ll definitely do this. I’ve been anxiously watching the page for updates since January and have alerts setup for when the page changes too!

I was anxiously watching the page every day, two times a day, in the morning and in the afternoon, for updates since April until August!!!!
