Has the status changed for anyone from Application Received to In-Process, whose file was transferred to CPC-M on or after 25th Jan and PA is from India. Looking at the tracker for the past few months, some people see an update for AOR2 on ECAS in a few days(1-2weeks) or don't see it at all till DM.
I hope our file is being worked on in Mississauga. My file was transferred on 30th Jan.
My file was transferred on 30th jan 2020 to cpc-m since no update.
Ecas status shows applications receiveed

May I ask you a question ? Did you answer yes to all 4 relationship questions on the check list and did you have any dependents on your application . I’m trying to work out why some fortunate applicants get processed mississauga while others have applications sent to visa posts abroad.

Hi
I dont know what you mean by all the 4 relationship questions, I will be glad to answer your questions if you elaborate a little and I dont have any dependents on my applications.
I can understand your pain, sorry but i still dont have any answer why some files are sent to Mississauga while others are not.
I wish you good luck on your applications.

On the document checklist that goes on top of the application, there are 4 yes or no questions.
1.are you living together now?
2. is this your first marriage ?
3. do you have children together?
4. have you been married 2 years since the date the application was signed.

The evidentiary burden is less of you answer yes to all 4 questions . I have a hypothesis that it also sends your application to mississauga for speedy processing . But I don’t know for sure.

My husband and I had no dependents and did not answer yes to all four questions. Only two. Ours was processed in Mississauga in less than three months.

The two we answered yes to were the first two. No criminal records, no visa refusals, squeaky clean travel history. Been together more than eight years. We filed Outland shortly before my husband’s IEC Visa expired, and he remained in NZ until receiving COPR. He is from New Zealand, a Visa exempt country. Our first and only marriage/common law relationship on both sides.

Ive also heard applications are sent to the Visa office closest to PA’s home country or to where they have been living last two years. In my case my husband was living in Ontario with me for the 23 month Visa he was on. Therefore closest Visa office to him at the time was Mississauga.

Thank you! Best of luck to you!

I think it’s a good thing to share experiences as the more knowledge that’s out there and the more informed we are, the easier it is for those whose applications have longer processing times. Takes some of the stress and panic away when you have a clearer understanding of why some applications take longer than others and why applications that are submitted at the same time or after yours get through quickly.
