Hello guys,

I finally received my COPR .

Regarding the documents required for landing, in what form I should provide my proof of fund to the immigration officer? Cash or a letter from my bank in my current country of residence? Thanks.

Are you sure you have to show proof of funds to the officer? They already verified you, so what is the point of checking it again?
Also, @Amir1523 is right, you don't have to bring cash. If you bring cash you have to declare it. Also, if you have a lot of cash and want to open an account in Canada, the bank will check where you got this much money (for money laundry, tax purposes, etc).
If you want to move your money to Canada, you can use SWIFT. Other than the currency exchange rate, they will also charge you a transaction fee, which is not that much (maybe 30-40$). Note also that you may find better exchange rates than your local currency exchange office.
Edit: All in all, since you are landing, there is no issue with brining a lot of money to Canada (either cash or transfer). You can always show your documents and prove that you need money to start your life here.

From above text, I got the impression that I have to have a proof of fund when landing. I personally don't like to carry cash with me and going through the whole process of declaration. But, how I should provide this proof? A recent bank statement is OK?

In addition, I have another question that you guys may be able to help me decide "when to land". Well, my visa is valid till end of 2020. So, I have enough time to manage my life here and be prepared for moving to Canada. But I am not so sure when is the right time to move due to job market seasonality (according to the internet) and holiday season in Summer. My partner and I both work in IT/ICT section and ideally we are hoping to get an offer before/right after we land (and resign our current jobs here). Our destination is Toronto and we've found many open positions that matches our skills. But we cannot move earlier that beginning of May. In your experience, do you think if we move to Toronto in the beginning of June, we would face the holiday season and wouldn't be able to secure a job before Autumn? I know. it's hard to predict the future of job market and it's different for every job sector but I would be grateful to hear your experience on this matter.

Sorry for the confusion, I was inland, and I didn't provide any proof of funding. So, I am not the best person to comment on this one. But, I am sure a bank statement from that is transfereable to Canada right away should work.

For when to land, I would definitely recommend doing it in Summer. Canadian winters could be harsh and may make moving very difficult. Especially for buying furniture, moving and finding an apartment. For job, it is hard to tell. There is no guarantee you can get a job right away. It may take a couple of months (no matter when you move in). So, I recommend start applying right now, and then decide after you get a job in Canada. If you couldn't find a job, you can land in summer and apply here in Canada. For many jobs, managers target January first as the begining fo their term, so you can expect more during that time. But, as I said, I don't recommend moving in Canada in Winter.

For the city, Toronto is probably the best place for job market but as you can guess, it has all the problems of a typical big city (traffic, long commuting, high costs, etc). So, if you are a big city type of person, then that is a good option. However, I think at the end, it is job that determines our destination!

Yeah, welcome to Capitalism. Canada is good compared to the US. I heard in the US, there is no law to force employers give leave with pay to employees!
In Canada, there are differnet laws in different provinces and even different companies have different policies. In Toronto that you are looking into, there are some companies that offer 10 days initially, then after a couple of years, they increase it to 15 days. Other companies offer 15 days at the begninig. You also normally have some sick days. Some places allow you to take them even if you are not sick, but there are other places that are more strict. If you want to take several sick days in a row, they may ask for a doctor's note.
For your vacations, you can take however you want. Some people save it for xmas holidays to go on a trip to warmer areas, other use it in Summer. Eitherways, usually there is no restriction on when to take them unless your job is very specific and requires you to be available at some time.
There are almost 12 statutoory holidays in Canada, most of which are celebrated either on Friday or on Monday. Hence, there are some long weekends that you can use for small trips around the place that you live.
For these things, you are gonna miss your currrent country of residence big time!

Today I called CIC, and found out my eligibility(on Feb 3rd) and criminally has been passed finally after almost 10 months. Security not stated yet. My question is how long does it take to OFFICER decide my application should go to security or not? Also the agent said the application is in local office right now. I don’t know if it helps to realize what happening on my files right now. Thanks for guidance.

In fact, CIC will not give a deadline for SS, whoever receives your call, it will be a very generic answer. it could take months to years for SS and CIC is not involved in the process, (it is carried out by a third party) blablabla....

Nevertheless, Keep your hopes up as the average processing time for SS is 6-8 months in recent days
Please be patient is probably the best advice I can give.

First of all, it is good to hear that your eligibility was passed. Since it took this long, I am suspicious that your case was sent for review. You should have ordered GCMS notes and fix the issue. but anayway, there is nothing else to do if you know you already passed your eligibility.

How do you know your security hasn't started? There is no way that we can predict when the officer picks up your file. Usually around the due date of your file, there is more chance, but it is not guaranteed.

If your application has been sent to local offices, the agents don't have access to it, so the information they provide may not be precise.

Thank you Mr_nobody. I just asked about my status through webmail and they respond to me 2 days after and mentioned that my SS not started. I am not sure if I will be sent for SS, as I lived in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, USA, and Denmark in the past 10 years. Additionally, I traveled to so many countries in the past 10 years. But most of my trips were to European countries and Iran.

Yeah, given that you were review required, I don't think your security has started either. For now, you have to wait till the officer picks up your file and initiates your security.
