BOWP Refund

Dear All, I need your help.

I applied my BOWP on Jan 13, 2016.

I got my COPR and Immigrant Visa were issued on March 9, 2016, I got everything mailed to me on March 22, 2016.

Coincidently, I found my BOWP application updated on March 22, 2016 says my application has been approved. CIC Online processing time shows they are working on December 9, 2015 applications. How come my Jan 13 Application has been approved?

Does this mean I cannot get refund for my BOWP?

I'm bumping this as I need help.
I applied for BOWP on April 28, but I then got PPR on May 13th. I figured I would just wait until I receive my COPR documents first and make sure everything's good, then ask CIC to cancel my BOWP application and refund.

But just now, my BOWP application has been updated to "closed" and final decision was "this application has been approved"... does that mean I can't get my $255 back?! :'( couldn't the person processing my application see that I already received PPR?

I applied for BOWP in March 2015. But on 2nd April I received my Medicals, and after all visa stamping process I finally landed on 15th May.
But i am still clueless about my BOWP application, as there is no communication regarding that. Do CIC automatically cancel the application, considering that I have now got my PR, if they do. How can I get a refund?

I tried calling CIC no, but didn't got hold of any agent.

Hi!

In my case, I phone CIC and told the agent I didn't need the permit as I landed already. He said he would inform CIC in Vegreville and they would send me a cheque.

Hi everyone, my work permit expires on March 29, 2020. I have paid the BOWP fee and when I was about to apply, I got my landing interview call for feb 27, 2020. Will I be able to get a refund? I have not applied for BOWP but has paid the fee. Kindly advise

You should be able to get refund after Feb 27. You need to initiate because they will not do themselves.

Actually you can cancel BOWP anytime now. You already have valid status till March and your landing is in Feb so you are safe.

Let me know if you get refund and what they say. I applied for BOWP as well, my PGWP was expired however when I landed so I didn't cancel my BOWP.

Please I need advise on my situation.
I am on OWP (spousal sponsorship) expiring on July 31, 2021
I was also eligible for Public policy for essential worker and I have submitted my PR though waiting for approval.
recently I got invitation for PR via CEC and I immediately applied the same day my ITA came.
My IELT test date is June 29 and my result date is July 10
I have also applied for BOWP
my question is , if my BOWP is approved, can I request for refund of my CEC PR application fees since I have PR for another stream under processing.
