Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit
application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet
the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and
Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of
residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can
demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements.

Hello - I was granted a student visa but as my application was accepted little late so I had to get my admission deferred till May 2020. Seneca college only grants deffer once, I've no issues of deffer now as I will reach Canada on time. But my question is I'm thinking to get my program changed from Undergrad Certificate to Postgraduate. As I am already given a deffer will I be able to get my program changed? Are changing program or getting deffer associated in any way?

Would be really very thankful for your help.

I am just about starting out an application and I want to get it right. I am 35 years of age and I have HND in business administration and management which I have been using to work for about 9 years now. However, I want to ditch all that to pick up an admission in Acute care aid. I have contacted the college and I can be admitted but the major issue is convincing that I can be granted a visa. I'm married with a child. Applying alone.
Your guidance will be appreciate

Hi,

Congratulations on your study permit approval.

As advised before, you will have to contact Seneca College on this. I do not see it as a problem if you meet the minimum admission requirements into the program of interest. This, however, raises the question of why did you not apply for the post-gad program in the first place?

All the best.

Its not over until its over. Every application is treated differently.

While waiting, find something else to pre-occupy your time with, start a short course in I.T or go and intern somewhere, or do voluntary work.

All the best.

Please remove U.K. and Ireland from the PR list except you get a 5 years work visa and some other minor requirements.
Now getting that 5 years work visa is the issue. Even if an employer wants you hired , the requirements are difficult. From a ridiculous minimum salary to explaining why you’re favourable over British / EU applicants . If you find the job etc , most companies 90% only offer you 3 years but if you’re good , they will retain you. Ireland has its own troubles too & it’s ridiculously expensive.

Regardless I will always pick the UK over Canada. With the Brexit now, there’s a better chance of getting a post grad job .
Goodluck
At least Ireland and UK will issue you a visa without any stupid denial reason. Getting a PR is not as hard and you say it is, as long as you can get a job after school you just need to Renew your work permit every year then the fifth year you Renew it it comes with an Irish passport. If you’ve the money for Ireland please do it’s worth it. Better minimum wage and low cost of living.

Yes looks like Mr omofar stated all in this thread you have choices to make you could either go the easy way reapply and address the visa officer concerns or you go the other way and reapply then use ur loe to address the unfairness in the visa application towards nigerians and how they give stupid denial reasons to bonafide applicants either way you still got to apply....cause I fancy this second approach the fact that it has worked for two people on this thread doesn't mean it could work for all but as they say no risk no reward..either way you reapply and re-adress the denial reasons..

Greetings!

If you are interested in hearing the truth, and still ready to proceed despite the challenges, you are welcome here. If you want to be pampered, please go elsewhere.

I am here offer advise to anyone who is Nigerian and needs assistance in navigating the dangerous waters of Canadian study permit application. Identify what the problem might be and how to possibly over come them.

It would be better to come here before you apply, rather than after you have applied, it might be too late to assist you then. Also, never rush to put in an application, if you are rejected once, your chances of being rejected a second time increases by about 60-70%.

Looking forward to assisting anyone with question here.

You are welcome.

Cheers
Dear ADESANYA AKEEM OLAMIDE,

Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I want to inform you to contact your school to differ your admission to the next intake , this is due to the upgrading of our student visa portal. I have determined that your application might meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR).
• Your new offer letter is required.
• No new visa fee payment.
• No new documents required.
I got this reply from the Canadian embassy on Tuesday morning and I would want to ask if after this it is certain I get my study permit.
