DHL Courier - UK to CIC Nova Scotia

Can anyone help? I Shipped mine and my partners application for Sponsership last week to CIC Nova scotia, i noticed it arrived in Hamilton and said it was delivered but apparently it was handed over to a third party courier? Has anyone ever experienced this? It does not make sense why DHL cannot follow through from A to B

What does the actual tracking portion say? Can you copy it in here? Make sure you leave any private information like tracking number out.

I’ve heard that DHL sometimes hand over to companies like Loomis Express. Maybe call DHL and request further details about the third party courier - you should be able to get a tracking code from them.

On the DHL tracking the last thing is 31st January - looks like its handed over to a third party maybe
I am scared that its been handed over to canada post which isnt the same address as the one for Couriers.

Unfortunately we have had similar issues with DHL in the past and will not use them again.
We now use Fedex. More expensive but much faster and no problems.
Most likely in your case it was handed over to Canada Post for delivery.
Keep your fingers crossed.

Call DHL Customer Service they'll tell you more.
 
So good news, It has been delivered.

Confusing and if this does happen to anyone else, the package goes to Ontario, then DHL actually assign a new Waybill number for the final leg of the delivery, they should ideally tell you and link the original waybill but they dont. it was Loomis that delivered it.

Same situation here, did you just call DHL and they provided the Loomis tracking number? What verification did you need to provide DHL? Ours was sent by our consultant so thus we don’t know his DHL account number etc.

You got lucky.
DHL lost our package after passing on to a third party carrier.
Why take the risk and be confused ? Find a more reliable courier especially for important documents.
After the troubles with DHL we only use Fedex now...They have their own international customs channels.

Hi good to know your package was delivered successfully. I am in similar situation, when was your package delivered also did you got to know the third party courier company? Any contact where i can call & check.
