But my problem is that I am in Korea and I am officially a Ph.D. student until the end of February and then I have no status in Korea and need to leave. I also talked with my house owner and my supervisor that I will leave Korea until March. very stressful condition

Yes, I did it in November 2019, but my official PhD degree will be awarded this month in the ceremony.

I still not defended. I applied using transcript and thesis submission certificate along with LOEThat's fine, I also applied using transcript and confirmation graduation letter from my school.Oh nice.

My joining was on 5 feb, mcgill montreal and yours ? An expectation that it may come this week
He was also concerned fpr my delay and he told me that if Work permit will not Come till this friday i should contact him. Can extension be given in this case ?
The professor will give the extension. you should also request him for extension of joining date
Also, if the passport request will come, it will also take a week or more to get it back with Visa. Therefore, you really need the extension. You can ask for a joining date in march
