Hello everyone,

I am a PR (soon to become citizen- already applied in Aug 2019). Almost all my family (parents and sisters) lives in Bangladesh. I live in Canada with my spouse.I would like to write a letter an invitation letter to my father (Only for my father) to visit me in Canada for a week or two.

My income alone does not meet the threshold as I am full time student and work part-time. My spouse works for the Fed Govt and if I include spouse's salary then we easily meet the threshold.

My question is, instead of me writing an invitation letter to my father, can both of us write a letter to my father? will that be acceptable? or do I have to write with my name only?

Thanks

Both of you can sign the invitation letter.

Yes, it's acceptable. Both of you can write a joint invitation letter and state how you're going to finance and cater for him with POF.

Hi - a week ago you wrote that your father is very, very ill. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/august-2019-citizenship-applicants.646213/page-63#post-8439486

What Is your true intention here? You wish your father to visit you for a week or two while he also requires emergency surgery?

I honestly don't like the following line, "What Is your true intention here?". just because someone else's situation doesn't fit into yours doesn't mean they have ill intention. Stop being a god and pretend like you know something is wrong.

When did I say that I like my father to visit me while he is having the surgery? Have you thought that perhaps I want to visit him while he is having the surgery and maybe I want him to visit me in Canada after he is well?? Did I ever mention the exact timeline? The fact that my father having emergency surgery, does that mean I can never wish to visit him or have him visit me?

Who are you to question what my "true intentions are"? What is your true intention here? helping people with info/knowledge or playing god?

Honestly, that's a shame that you don't like the question(s) when you could easily answer without the attitude. God is beyond me, but reading your separate postings isn't. This is an open forum, so that's who I am - a participant who asked two questions so get a grip.

I wish your dad a speedy recovery and good health.
