I will advise you to defer and rerun your biometric
Lol... I got rejected. I'm going to give the reasons they stated in the email.
1. The first reason is because they are not convinced that I'll return back to Nigeria after my study in Canada.
2. The second reason is based on family ties. This one, I don't understand at all at all.
3. They further stated that I can reapply if only I can attend to the following issues I mentioned above.
I honestly do not know what to do. As for deferrence of admission, I've done that already.

Please house any help with this
I think you would have to submit a letter together with your application (please, I'll advise that a good visa agent do it for you)
In this letter, you'll have to address the following reasons that they mentioned above, convincing them that you'll come back. Give solid reasons please, and be specific

Hi. I need some help. I applied via an agent for a study visa the first time but I was denied. I think they used their own agency account cuz they’re licensed. Now I want to apply myself personally without the agent. Do I still create a new IRCC account?

Positive attitude towards the refusal... That way you will avoid unnecessary heartaches. You can try again, or look elsewhere.

I wish you all the best.

A well-written rebuttal is not a guarantee that the VO will change his mind about your circumstances. Kindly refer to my posts on 'Logic of your application' and 'your personal profile', if those two are not okay, you can have all the money in your account to show proof of funds, admission in place, but you will still not be able to convince the VO.

I wish you the very best in your re-application.

Yes.

All the best with your new application.

Take time to learn, find out why your application was refused, see if you can address the issues raised.

I wish you the best in your re-application.

Ive read every word on this thread which consists 1829 posts

Omafor you are a legend

I wish the thread would have been changed to study challenges for African students

whatever the case, its an eye opener and now that I've read and understood everything, I guess will start preparations since I've not yet applied, but working on 3 main areas of focus as per Omafor's suggestion:

1. clear purpose of visit
2. ability to fund the visit and
3. clear intention to return to one's own country upon completion of studies.

Got a new passport, old passport (which had extensive travel history) was withdrawn by the Govt (not sure if both should be presented or just the new one.

Next step will be looking for DLI's that will also assist on the post graduate "PR"

Also which states/provinces have better job prospects ? Inna do LLM

That said, my initial priorities (based on PR) were

1. Canada
2. US
3. Republic of Ireland
4. UK
5. Scandinavia
6. Australia
7. New Zealand

Personal bank account has $50k

Sponsor is an UHNWI and can show source of funds
