anyone knows where Durham Region applicants write their citizenship tests?

Hey guys

I have a couple of questions:

1. On ecas it says they sent me a discover Canada handbook which I never got and I wasn’t too bothered since I prefer the PDF version anyways; now I’m worried if any other communications came via regular mail ? Test invite? But ecas still says in process

2. maybe I’m thinking ahead but how do I apply for dual citizenship from the Canadian side? I’ve talked to immigration and emigration in my home country and they said once I have my Canadian citizenship I have to pay and apply for dual citizenship status. Do I need to do the same in Canada?

1. They won't send any pdf or hard copy. You can get pdf from here. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/discover-canada/read-online.html

2. You don't have to apply for dual citizenship statud. You just have to carry both countries' passports while going out or coming in to Canada.

My AOR 16 Aug 2019 and process in 2nd Oct in Montreal.
Still waiting for test invitation.
Anyone has the same dates for applied in Montreal and and waiting for test?
Please share the information and when the test date is probably come?

I am also from Montreal, i think there are tons of applicants coming from different parts of Quebec that are being processed in the Montreal processing unit that's why our application is moving like a turtle. What we need for now is patience... I took the test last November and until now my ECAS is still "In Process" i hope i will have the Oath before July 2020.

It’s kinda frustrating to see many others got second day oath after test, I guess we will just have to wait.....

That's very true .some of them got same day as test date got oath and some of them got oath before test .I don't know its very slow

I passed the test on nov 29 in scarborough but did not get an interview on that day for some reason. Officer just said to wait for an email for the oath invite. I have a friend who just took the citizenship test last week & got an oath invite on the same week.

Have you got decision made yet? If not, they wouldn’t schedule your oath.

My exam got rescheduled to Feb 13
I received the invite on January 20th.

My original exam date was on December 6th. But I requested a reschedule for anytime after January 31st.

updated It seems the IRCC has some scheduling issues. At least you have something scheduled. More than half still are waiting to hear from them and some of us are not expecting anything for another 4 months due to location.

Have you got decision made yet? If not, they wouldn’t schedule your oath.

Ecas says still “in process” i don’t think i’ll get a dm since they haven’t interview me after the test. If i don’t hear from them by the end of February, i will renew my PR just in case... since i’m going out of the country mid august.
