Hi,

I passed my test today. The process for the test in Ottawa is very slow.

We arrived 20 minutes before the test time (10:00am), they starting verifying the PR and test invitation at 10:15am. The test started at 10:55am, almost an hour late. We finished it within 5 minutes and waited until 11:30am for the interview.

The interview was simple, it took us less than 5 minutes. The officer started the conversation saying that we both passed the test. He just asked us when did we come to Canada, what was our status, what's our current occupation and briefly checked our passports (didn't check the stamps in detail). He didn't ask for the original supporting documents.

We signed a document, and he said "Congratulations" and that we should get the oath's invitation by email. The ceremony should be in 1-2 months.

Please update Line 81, user: jennysolac

Test invite: Jan 8
Test date: Jan 22

Not yet. Test on Dec 16th, DM on Dec 17th. I was told oath would be in 1-3 months. I see Scarbs applicants from April and May getting oath invites the past few weeks. I would assume May applicants are just a couple of weeks away as well.

Passed today in Ottawa!! like others have said a slightly lengthy process for what happens on the day but straight forward. Good luck to those still waiting, don’t over think the test, think I did it within 10 mins. In my opinion the test is more to see that you are willing to learn about Canada as the questions were fairly easy to answer if you have read the book.

Hi everybody,

I am sure this question has been answered multiple times.
I have my test next week and I have read the book twice and done practice test question from the link below (approximately 150 questions).

http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/

am still feeling a bit nervous.
Can anyone please share a link of practice questions, that they did before the test and that was sufficient to pass the test?

I was the same until my test on wednesday. Just read the book a few more times and search google for Canadian citizenship practice tests and you will find a few websites, but don't over think or do it. The questions are straight forward and fairly simple to answer if you have read and learnt from the book. Most people in my test session finished within 15 mins.

My lyft driver even told me when he saw where he was dropping me that he only got one wrong answer and he wasn't very smart. The tests are are clearly not there to challenge you but to see that you have basic knowledge of the Country you want to become a citizen of. I am sure you will be fine, soon as I finished the test I felt silly for being nervous. I am sure you will kill it, good luck.
