INLAND SPOUSE VISA- but visitor visa expiring

Hello All,

I am planning to submit an inland application +OWP in first week of April 2020 as soon as we get the marriage certificate. But her visitor visa is expiring on May 20th.

Questions:

1. does she get an implied status once the application status is received or once we have the AOR?
2. what if we dont receive an AOR and her visitor visa expires in the meantime? what can be done in this case?

1. She will have Implied Status as of her visitor status expiry. AOR has nothing to do with it.

2. She will have Implied Status as of visitor status expiry from the submission of the OWP. If the OWP is returned after her visitor status expires, she will be out of status. She can apply separately for a visitor extension to prevent such a situation.
