BOWP Application Query

Hey Guys,

I have received the ITA already, submitted the document and got the Acknowledgement from IRCC for my PR application submission which says i am eligible to apply for BOWP.
I am married and my wife has dependent open work permit which expires along with my closed work permit in march 2020 and we both are currently residing in canada(although my wife is not working as of now).
I am in process of applying for BOWP and while filling the form, i have doubt for answering below questions:

1. Have you been told by an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada? (should i say YES based on Acknowledgement received for PR application submission)

2.Have you submitted a permanent resident application in Canada? (I would say YES, correct me if its wrong)

3. Are you accompanying a family member who has status in Canada? (Since i wish to extend visa for my spouse as well, should I say YES)

For #3 above, even if I say no, it asks me in further questions whether i want to apply for my family member as well. So it confused me whether it should be YES or NO for #3.

You are the Principal Applicant (PA), your wife is accompanying you, not the other way around. Only PAs are eligible for the BOWP. Your wife would be eligible for another SOWP based on your BOWP.

Hey @jes_ON,

Need your expertise again. As I answered all the details asked for the process of BOWP(extension of work permit), i entered the details about my spouse as well and at the end, it came up with the list of documents to be submitted. One of them was imm5710e(application to change conditions, extend my stay or remain in Canada as a worker) intended to be filled by my spouse. Since my spouse is not working(and is on open work permit) i am having hard time filling this form. My queries are, for my spouse application imm5710e, :

1) For section#3, "I am applying for one or more of the following 1) apply for a work permit with same employer, 2) Apply for work permit for first time or with a new employer 3) Restore my status as a worker, 4) Get a new temporary residence permit"
should i select #1 or #2 here?

2) If i select either of #1 or #2 from section#3, i have to give details for her current employment. Since she is not working, what details should i give in the section of current employment.

Would this be the same when I apply for BOWP and extend my son's Study Permit. I answered no, as I am the main applicant and added him as my dependent. correct?
