They don't own a property, but me and my wife jointly own a property in which they live. my mom is a housewife and dad is retired.

I m not sure how to prove ties to home county as they do not have a job and they earn from their Fd's and retirment savings and my father take private tutions.
Sorry missed that it said in you wife’s name. Unfortunately they have a pretty weak application. You can certainly try to apply but you will likely have to wait until you have your NOA to apply for supervisa if you meet LICO.

Just to add that as above reply the challenge is to get the TRV in first place hence the 2-3 weeks. Obviously the decision how long they can stay is made on arrival and is not connected to what was asked for in the application so they could get 6 months on arrival.

Hi, I am applying visitor visa for my parents. I have confusion about the forms that i have to fill.I am keeping my father as primary applicant in form IMM5257e and declared mother as spouse. My confusion is
1. Do i need to create only one profile for both mother and father online.
2. Do i need to fill form IMM5257e for both of them seperately. If no, where is the place in the forms in which i should mention that my mother is accompanying my father.

Hi,
I have a query regarding documentation required for parent's Canada Visitor Visa.
Since I am going to send an invitation letter and my supporting documents for my parent's visitor visa so I noticed that in my passport my mother's name is different from the name which is there in my mother's passport.
Mother's name in my passport - Shila
Mother's name in mother's passport - Raj Shila
Spouse name in my father's passport - Raj Shila

So please advice while sending supporting documents from my side for my parent's visa application do I need to send my passport copy also or not ? Because I am afraid, it may create confusion.

Or I just mention my mother's name in my invitation letter same as her name in her passport ?

Or it will not create any issue if I'll share my passport copy also along-with all other documents ?

Or do we need any other supporting document to cover this gap ?

Please advice at the earliest. Thanks in advance !!
Hi did you get a resolution to this query as i have a similar case.
Would really appreciate your help.

Thanks

You can either apply online..... or email your documents as the host so that your parents can apply in-person at the nearest VFS

Hi, can anyone please help?

my parents had applied for visitor visa and they did their biometrics after getting a letter to have it done.
They received a notification now that their application is rejected, with the note "I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. and based on the purpose of your visit"

Both their kids are in Canada with their families. and the purpose of visit was mentioned as to visit their children and grandchildren. They had also attached a return ticket from Mar - Sept 2020.
Is there any way they can email and let them know the return ticket was attached and therefore that was a strong evidence of their return? they had also attached proof of land ownership etc and mentioned in the cover letter that their presence is needed for the upkeep of the land etc.

It would be a greatly appreciated if anyone could help..

They requested far too long of a stay in their application. They requested six months ,that’s shows they have little connection to their home country , plus ,being away six months from their land, shows just the opposite regarding the upkeep of it
Basically the whole family is in Canada, the ties would be stronger here
Should of requested 2-3 weeks
Many people purchase return tickets , and never use the back end . Doesn’t mean a whole lot

oh. I realise that mistake.. anyway that ticket is now cancelled. they cant travel now because of the current situation..
If I email them saying they are not travelling, and give proof of attachment to India, is there any chance of reconsideration? I will also book a ticket for 2 to 3 weeks once the lock down is over.

You'd reapply from scratch
