As per IRCC the PCC is required:

  • For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must have been issued no more than 6 months before the submission of the e-APR.
  • For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant stayed in that country for 6 months or more in a row.
  • Police certificates meeting the above requirements can be accepted even if they have an expiry date that has passed.
  • This includes the requirement to provide a police certificate for countries in which the individual has travelled for 6 months or more in a row, whether or not the individual had an established residential address during this time.
  • Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a row within the last 10 years. The individual does not need to provide one for any period of time before the age of 18.
  • Police certificates need to be a scan of the original police certificate(s) in colour. Certified true copies and unauthorized copies are unacceptable and will result in the application being rejected as incomplete.
Since you do not fall under the requirement, you do not need the PCC. You can explain this in the LoE when you file your application.

Thanks a lot!!

Hello everyone,

I currently have just 1+ year work experience after my degree. I am a Software developer now, but I studied Biology related course in school. During the course of my degree, I spent my school breaks working in tech firms, and can hence surely gather 3 yrs work experience. But is it possible to gather these experiences together into 3 years, since it wasn't continuous?
If yes, it possible to claim 3+ years work experience since my degree isn't relevant to the experience?

You can claim work experience gained while studying only if you studied outside Canada. For CEC applicants, WE is counted only after graduation, for the rest of us it's all the same.
Is is continuous or not I can not claim, you have to put it on paper and see all the brakes, working hours etc.

Hi everyone, I am about to submit my application but I need guidance with POF. Thing is, I have my proof of funds in Bank A but their interest rate for fixed deposit is not great to me. Another bank B offers a good interest rate but I'm yet to open an account with them. Will I be fine with this arrangement? If yes, what should I upload for proof of funds document?

Hi,

I have not uploaded IELTS TRF in education section as it doesn't explicitly ask for it.

Is it a requirement and should I fill a web form to upload it? Please advise.

IELTS is only required to be entered in the section asked and not in education section.

There is no section where it is asked separately.

It was asked when you created your profile and it is copied to the post ITA application.

Yes TRF# was asked and was provided. Sorry, I meant the scan copy of the TRF. I read in some threads that people got the request later to upload it from CIC. Nothing serious but don't want my file to go on HOLD and get delayed.
