I applied for my brothers' temporary visitor visa online.
His visa application has been rejected once (paper application in May 2018 in India VFS office) - he didn't really submit much documentation as a young single male at the time.
As he had applied in May 2018 and it said that biometrics were only required once in 10 years - I assumed that it was taken already.
But after submitting his application online, when I spoke to him - he said that he hadn't given it.
Looking up further info, it seems biometrics for India were applicable from December 31st 2018 vs. he had applied a few months earlier.
Now there didn't seem to be any way to change/add the biometrics option and pay the biometrics fee once the application for TRV was submitted online.
I have however sent a case specific inquiry but haven't heard back.
Is this a big deal (automatic rejection) and resubmit application all over again?
Or do they just assume people are stupid and might answer incorrectly and will ask them to go for the biometrics exam if it isn't on file.
Any help, especially from personal experience will be helpful.
