Common law sponsorship online or mail?

Hello, just curious as I can’t find the answer to my question on IRCC website. When filing a common law sponsorship application from inside Canada is the application able to be transmitted online to cic ? I have done my study permit and work permit applications online but it seems that the application has to be sent to the case processing centre in Mississauga? Can anyone confirm if it has to be mailed or not? Thanks

Unfortunately it has to be a paper application and mailed in.

Hi thanks for the quick reply. Is there a point where the application will be online so I can track the status communicate with VO etc. ?

You can set up a gckey acct (Google it) that way you can see if thes any correspondence from them

I have one. I used it for my study/work permit. If the application is mailed how will they know to contact me on gckey?

You will have to link the app to your account.
