I applied online on 6th of Dec. The reasons of refusal this time was based on family ties in Canada and in your country of residence and purpose of visit.

you applied very late defer your admission as soon as possible there is no way to get your approval and visa stamped on passport before 3rd jan maybe ask you institution if you can join a week or two late

No. That's funny because I know no one in Canada. I think second part of that sentence is more related to me since I am an only child and single. My parents reside in Sweden.

no i think considering how many people have got this refusal reason and dont have any relatives in canada i believe they actually want you to have some law abiding relatives there because 2 of my sisters are citizens and my brother is applying for PR soon he is working in canada and the 1st time i got refusal there was no reason mentioned about family ties in canada or my home country
i think you need to show that you arent planning to work or live there beyond the validity of your permit strong SOP and Strong ties to your parents are the only way forward seems like

i applied on 18th november. but mine has gone into secondary clearance!! My classes begin from january 6th!
