Hello,
My ecas changed to DECISION MADE the next day of the test/interview date.

My Passport stamps matched the dates and documents were all fine as I saw the officer tick everything positively.
But the officer asked me a lot about my ties to Canada, as I don't have too many,I am single , don't work here, live on investments and travel a lot to my home country.
In the end, the officer told me " we will do some more background check and if everything is fine you will do the oath in 1-2 months."

Is it negative or positive?

thanks

Hello,
My ecas changed to DECISION MADE the next day of the test/interview date.

My Passport stamps matched with the dates and documents were all fine as I saw the officer tick everything positively.
But I am worried as my interviewer was very questioning about my ties to Canada, as I don't have too many,I am single , don't work here, live on investments and travel a lot to my home country.
However, I answered all my questions honestly.

In the end, the officer told me " we will do some more background check and if everything is fine you will do the oath in 1-2 months."

But the ecas changed to DM next day.

Is it negative or positive?

thanks
Probably positive but you’d want to call IRCC here as they don’t include the details of decision on line (another thing that would reduce their phone line busyness!)

IF rejected believe it’s a snail mail letter. Which you’d probably not get until Jan now given time of year. Assuming this was recent.

thanks,
1.so the phone agent will tell me if it is positive or negative?
2.If negative , can they refuse my appl. on lack of ties?

1. I believe so ...

2. I don’t think so. I don’t believe that’s a requirement but if they have an issue they should be able to tell you what it is. Lack of 1095 days, security checks, etc...

I called IRCC and the agent told me that she has no info more than "Decision Made" in my case.
She also said that in general it means positive and 'wait for oath".

Well that's rather ... unhelpful. Still if you've had no comms about any issues it is indeed likely good news. Fingers crossed you get an oath date soon.
I believe the day after interview is a pretty positive indication, that's when mine changed too.

That decision is positive.
You would be notified in case of a negative decision, and it wouldn't be taken in 24h.
