Should I create a new account on behalf of my kid to apply for TRV?Yes.
Can anyone give link to a forum which has discussed details pertaining to application of TRV?

Regards,
I along with my family are Canadian permanent resident since April 2017 but living outside of Canada since then, I am not going to meet number of days residency obligation if I stay outside of Canada after April 2020.
I have a new baby born outside of Canada and he of course doesn't have PR and to get PR for him, what I understood from this thread that we must have to be in Canada physically. If only my wife stays with him, what are the chances to get him PR while I stay outside and keep my family needs fulfilled from my overseas job. I have following questions:
1. Will I loose my PR immediately after April 2020?
2. Will my family along with new child will get the passport without any issue?
3. What will be the options for me afterwards, can my wife sponsor me and I can I get visit via easily?
Thanks in advance!
You need to apply for a TRV for your baby. If the TRV is refused, then you can try applying for a TRP. If that is also refused, then one of you will need to move to Canada ahead of the rest of the family and submit the application to sponsor the child for PR once in Canada. The application will take around 6-8 months to process and once approved, the child will be able to come to Canada. The parent that moves to Canada first will need to remain in Canada while the application is processed (i.e. they cannot simply submit the PR application and then leave).
Chances of the TRV/TRP being approved are likely around 50%. You would start with the TRV.
Dear Scylla,
I am in the same situation as described above, however, I would like to know the exact source of the info you shared. CIC website or any other source..
Thanks in advance,
Best,
Manan
I mean the part, that one of the parents must reside in Canada during the sponsorship process. It's just I need a very precise info, as our travel decision will be based on this info.Which info exactly? Some of this has no official source (e.g. success rates for TRVs) and is based on experiences on this forum.
There are many discussions on this forum on this topic if you want to read more about experiences.

See the section in link below ‘become a sponsor’, in that section clearly states a PR cannot be a sponsor if living outside of CanadaI mean the part, that one of the parents must reside in Canada during the sponsorship process.
