I guess it depends on the officer we get, the kinda day they are having etc

For the guys in similar boat as me, hang in there. We are almost there, enjoy the holidays and we celebrate in Jan, Oath invites will show up for all of us! touchwood

Hi everyone, I applied on March 15 and my processing has started on March 21st. Still waiting for the test. Call center agent told me your background check was completed October 21st. Any idea why it is taking so long?

I asked for a tentative time frame to receive the oath, was told within 2-3 months. The agent checked something and said there is an option for tomorrow at 11 AM. Didn't hesitate for a second and accepted the offer.

If you do know some basic english, the test is not hard at all. Read the book once, and just know basic common knowledge about Canada. Done in less than 5 mins after double checking.

i second this because, I also got 20/20 and asked the lady if I could get an oath ASAP but she said it could take up to 1 to 3months as a different office does the scheduling. Just asked me my travel plans and told me she’ll indicate it and make sure I don’t get scheduled for that time period.

I was seated at the very front. You were the first guy to be done. Quite tall from what I remember.

Not me. I got 20/20 and they ordered me to get a Request for Supplementary Evidence sheet for US trips. It makes no sense to me, my Canadian entry dates checked out 100%.

The officer checked my dates and ask the stamps were there. Are you sure none were missing?

Hi Mona, I passed my test on September 24th and the status is still in process.
Regarding the job, I had the exact same situation and called CIC. The customer service agent who answered the phone informed me that it's not necessary to update your job information, she said: it's not important.

I think your job has nothing to do with your citizenship application unless you are taking an overseas job and leave the country.
