Well ... I used to call ircc every two weeks to inquire about it the reply the same and they said u have to wait it’s under 12 months .... plus I contacted my mp on nov 11 and got the same reply

this makes me so hopeless is it like this for all afghans? My pa is from afghanistan too I submitted my case at the end of August though

yeah, we don't have any option other than waiting . just be patient and hope u get ur visa as soooooon inshah allah.

After the file is sent to the Visa office, is there supposed to be a new line on ECAS that says "we started processing your application etc". My application has been transferred to London VO a little over a week ago (i found out in email), but there isnt any new update in ECAS or CICaccount. Does that mean they haven't opened my file yet?
Also, are the visa offices responsible for conducting the security tests and the eligibility tests?

once LVO recives ur file they will send u an email regarding reciving the file that will be ur AOR2 and the status on ecas will change from "in process" to "file recived"
once they asign a Visa officer then status on ecas will change back to in process
this might take frm 2 weeks to month soo chill nd buckle up ur turn is ahead
visa office is responsible for eligibility and bgc is done with partner security agencies which gives final report to visa office on the basis of given report ur application will be finalized

It took 6 months for them to give u an update on your file after 2nd police certificate? Is that normal

Yeah they will send re medical for her u better wait for them to.open up cuz my friends husband got re medical in marchI believe and he couldn't do it since its closed and his 90 days extension are gone as well. So once ircc resume then it's good if u guys gets it.soon

But Afghanistan is in quarantine right now. The 90 days ircc give everyone, kabul is still in quarantine for another 3 months. Will they extend the 90 days?
