Hello guys,
I got my visa refusal two days ago and it is highly devastating since my profile was very strong.
I already have BSc in Biotechnology (cgpa 3.96), Ielts 8.0 and I have the final offer letter for Advanced diploma in biotechnology (fast track). Now I am thinking of reapplying and taking another chance since there are still 6 weeks left until my semester starts in January.
But I don't know what or how to write my SOP this time. Can anyone PLEASE help? PLEASEEEEEE. This is why I was refused:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
And this was my first SOP. I showed enough financial assets so idk why they mentioned that lol Everything was strong i think the main reason for refusal is my SOP. So can anyone please guide me a little especially since they refused my application.
MY ORIGINAL SOP:
I wish to study in Canada for the advanced biotechnology program because of how developed the biotechnology sector already is in Canada, which will allow me to have access to the best and latest resources. The educational experience will help me acquire the appropriate skills I need to secure a good position in Dubai’s industrial sector. Also, Centennial college is a very diverse and multicultural place making it an ideal place to study for me as an international student.
My overall educational goal is to deepen my knowledge related to industrial microbiology and I hope to accomplish that through this program for which I’ve been selected. My main reason for pursuing an advanced diploma in Canada is due to the progress the country’s biotechnology sector has made in its field. Where I live, in the UAE, we don’t have access to the same level of educational resources to prepare students for industrial work in biotechnology and related fields. That is why after completing my Bachelor’s from the UAE, I have decided that I want to gain more understanding and hands-on experience related to my field which I believe Canada and Centennial college will provide for me.
Furthermore, this program will enhance my employment opportunities because getting a North American educational experience is highly valued in the UAE. After completing my diploma, I plan on coming back to Dubai and applying to some of the major leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies here and a big part of getting hired will be the important foreign educational experience.
Being a permanent resident of the UAE, having my parents and childhood friends living here and being brought up here myself. It is very important for me to come back to my home which will always be Dubai, and start working here to give back to the community which has given me so much and made me the person I am today.
I have already earned a BSc in Medical biotechnology from the American University of Ras Al Khaimah earlier this year and to sum up, the next step for me is gaining educational experience related to the industrial sector which is why I wish to go to Canada for an advanced diploma with a focus on industrial microbiology and chemistry. This program will enable me to fulfill my dream of getting a North American educational experience and then coming back to Dubai, where I can say, I will confidently be able to use the experience from my time in Canada to become an able, working member of Dubai’s growing industry sector.
If ANYONE can reply and guide me on how to improve my sop and if I need to address the grounds of refusal, that would be highly, highly appreciated.
