Hello guys,

I got my visa refusal two days ago and it is highly devastating since my profile was very strong.

I already have BSc in Biotechnology (cgpa 3.96), Ielts 8.0 and I have the final offer letter for Advanced diploma in biotechnology (fast track). Now I am thinking of reapplying and taking another chance since there are still 6 weeks left until my semester starts in January.

But I don't know what or how to write my SOP this time. Can anyone PLEASE help? PLEASEEEEEE. This is why I was refused:

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

And this was my first SOP. I showed enough financial assets so idk why they mentioned that lol Everything was strong i think the main reason for refusal is my SOP. So can anyone please guide me a little especially since they refused my application.

MY ORIGINAL SOP:
I wish to study in Canada for the advanced biotechnology program because of how developed the biotechnology sector already is in Canada, which will allow me to have access to the best and latest resources. The educational experience will help me acquire the appropriate skills I need to secure a good position in Dubai’s industrial sector. Also, Centennial college is a very diverse and multicultural place making it an ideal place to study for me as an international student.

My overall educational goal is to deepen my knowledge related to industrial microbiology and I hope to accomplish that through this program for which I’ve been selected. My main reason for pursuing an advanced diploma in Canada is due to the progress the country’s biotechnology sector has made in its field. Where I live, in the UAE, we don’t have access to the same level of educational resources to prepare students for industrial work in biotechnology and related fields. That is why after completing my Bachelor’s from the UAE, I have decided that I want to gain more understanding and hands-on experience related to my field which I believe Canada and Centennial college will provide for me.

Furthermore, this program will enhance my employment opportunities because getting a North American educational experience is highly valued in the UAE. After completing my diploma, I plan on coming back to Dubai and applying to some of the major leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies here and a big part of getting hired will be the important foreign educational experience.

Being a permanent resident of the UAE, having my parents and childhood friends living here and being brought up here myself. It is very important for me to come back to my home which will always be Dubai, and start working here to give back to the community which has given me so much and made me the person I am today.

I have already earned a BSc in Medical biotechnology from the American University of Ras Al Khaimah earlier this year and to sum up, the next step for me is gaining educational experience related to the industrial sector which is why I wish to go to Canada for an advanced diploma with a focus on industrial microbiology and chemistry. This program will enable me to fulfill my dream of getting a North American educational experience and then coming back to Dubai, where I can say, I will confidently be able to use the experience from my time in Canada to become an able, working member of Dubai’s growing industry sector.

If ANYONE can reply and guide me on how to improve my sop and if I need to address the grounds of refusal, that would be highly, highly appreciated.

So what's the solution? What do we do now? How do we write a convincing SOP after refusal? Any idea?
I think each refusal must well justify, add additional documents to make support the SOP, how many years your course? because mine is 3 years im ppanning to make it 2 years or a year instead and I will defer to may or September intake to prepare for my reapplication.

Mine is 2 years but it’s fast track. Also, I have no idea how to write my sop this time. How do I go about addressing each refusal? Do I address the refusal in the same SOP or write a separate letter of explanation(LOE) along with the SOP?

Also, are you applying through a consultant or by yourself?

Yes Im applying with a consultant What About You? based on the forum I've read they addressed the refusal point along with the SOP, Originally where you from? Bec mine I didn't attach any assets and some documents to make my application stronger based on what I've read the more documents the stronger your application. I think your statement of purpose is fine but really you have to study the refusal point for example the travel history did you travel from other part of the world you have to show the stamp, some assets like properties such as land, houses and etc it shows ties. How much is your show money? if your course is 2 years you much calculate the amount into two years plus give some sporsor to make more stronger for the financial status.

yeah, I had to pay the registration deposit so I put that receipt but I paid the fees for the semester later. Now when I reapply, I will attach that too.
From my research, I understood that you are supposed to show funds for one year which includes tuition+living expense+10k cad. I showed more than that but this time going to add property documents of parents as well because last time I didn’t do that.
Also I am thinking of writing a letter of explanation, addressing each point of refusal and then attaching with it a new improved sop, explaining in more detail why I chose Canada, how I went to school here, I have lived in Dubai since I was one years old (originally from Pakistan).
But one point I can’t think of how to explain is the travel history, I travelled to Turkey and then Saudi but haven’t travelled anywhere else in three years now.
Any ideas? And what do you think of attaching an LOE and a SOP?

Also, does ANYONE else have any other opinions? Pleaseee all opinions and suggestions are welcome.

hey, yeah man I feel you. It’s very disappointing. I did everything myself too and my case was very strong but I still got refusal.

On what grounds did they refuse you? And what’s your profile? Also can you send me your revised SOP? I am thinking of writing a SOP AND an LOE (where I will address each refusal point) what do you think about that?

Guys, I am planning to attach my highschool grades AND bachelors degree with my reapplication, is it a good idea to make my justification regarding the refusal stronger? Any opinions? Advice?
