My score is 373, how can I improve it?

I don't understand why my husband and I both with Bachelor's degrees, 5+ years of professional experience, both 32 years old have scored so low. I have outlined my scores below. Any assistance or advice on how to go about improving the score to be in a better position to receive an ITA would be greatly appreciated.

Core/Human capital factors

• Age = 85 (I'm 32 years old)
• Level of education = 112 (I have a Bachelor's degree)
• Official Languages = 118
  • First Official Language = 118 (IELTS score L-7.5, R-9, W-9, S-9)
  • Second Official Language = 0
• Canadian work experience = 0

Subtotal - Core/Human capital factors = 315

Spouse factors

• Level of education = 0 (currently awaiting his WES evaluation but he has a Bachelor's degree that is equivalent to Canadian Bachelor's)

Have your husband make a profile as primary applicant when he gets his ECA since his IELTS score will net the CLB 9 bonus. By my quick calculation using the tool, his score would be 433, but it still won't be enough for an ITA, not even if he improves his IELTS Listening to 8.5. The points dramatically get lower for people 30+ years.

Your two profiles can co-exist, and if you have different primary NOCs, you have a wider net to cast if you choose to apply to PNPs.

Thank you for the reply. I have a Bachelors and my CPA so before all my research I thought my CPA would qualify as another degree. I was quite disappointed that it doesn't.
I take your point on my IELTS scores, I am planning to retake the test in January 2020 to try improve my Listening score.
I considered taking a one year course to get a diploma but by the time it's completed, I will lose points on my age. But if this is the only option left to improve my score after I retake the exam, then I'll go for it.

you will trade -5 points for age against + 25 points (and even more as you will get more for educaion itself) for second university diploma. So adding 20+ points is not a bad choice. If you can combine it with learning French then it will be even better.
