Hi everyone
I am currently in canada on implied status as I have filed my extension to stay longer as a visitor. I have asked for 3 months extension. My question is while waiting for my extension can I apply for a study permit or work permit.
Or I have to wait for the reply of my filed extension. And once I get extension then I can apply study or work permit?
Would like to have your valuable responds as soon as you are able to respond.

LMIA based. As I was in New Zealand before and I have 3 years of Heavy truck driving experience of New Zealand and I have been interviewed by some employers and they want me to get my Canadian Truck license first then they can help me and provide me with a LMIA.
My NZ driving license has been converted into Ontario Driving license but they have converted it into only for car and to get truck license it will take me another 2 to 3 months.
So I was thinking of applying study permit and if I get my study permit it will give me enough time to get my truck license and then I can apply for work permit as a truck driver.

You know that it will take 4-6 months to get an LMIA approved, right? And that's even after the required amount of advertising?

I am a PR of Canada since two years, I have filed for taxes but have not paid the amount mentioned in my Notice Of Assessment given by CRA.

Will it have an impact if I apply for my brother's Tourist Visa ? I have attached my NOA with his visa application documents.

Well, that's a massive massive scam that's highly illegal.

Yeah...that’s why I don’t want to accept this illegal thing and want to go through only legal and honest process.
My last question if want to apply for study permit can I do it while being on implied status as a Visitor and how can I apply? I mean can I apply online? Can I apply from within canada? Or there is another process to apply?

3. Did you do biometrics for your first tourist visa to come here?

1 Yes, I have been accepted to a DLI on the base of my previous qualification post-graduation from New Zealand.
2. I have sufficient funds for my tutu on fee and can fully support myself during my study programme.
3. I got my Tourist visa from New Zealand last year and then they did not demand for my biometrics.
4. No, I am not going for those employers who want money.
There are two employers who have approved my previous NZ trucking experience after verifying it and they only want me to get my truck license and then they can help me.
