Dear Experts,

After getting the Nikah Naama, it's english translation, MRC , getting the Smart NICOP changed for both husband and wife ( so that the address of the bride would match with the address of groom and also husband's name would be added in Smart NICOP , and the status would also changed from Single to Married for both the spouses. And then I could easily get the FRC as well to validate the marriage.

Is it also compulsory to change the passport of bride ( For adding the Husband's name on Passport , instead of father's name ) ? Because the bride already has the passport valid for another 5 years. So is it necessary to change her passport as well for spousal immigration to Canada ?

Dear Experts,

When I applied for my PR application around 3 year ago, my father's legal name on his passport was as follows:

First Name:
Surname: XYZ

Now his name has been slightly modified , since his First Name was empty before , so he moved his Surname to his First Name and added a new name in Surname, now it is as follows:

First Name: XYZ
Surname: ABC

I would be marrying soon in Pakistan , and my National Identity Card is also getting expired and it would be made in accordance to my updated father's name ( as it is mentioned on the card ). And once I have my new National Identity card, I can apply for Marriage Registration Certificate and also for the Family Registration Certificate ( which would be made on the basis of my new national identity card ).

However, CIC has my previous/old father's name. Now when I would be applying for spousal immigration and would submit the marriage documents ( that would have my updated father's name ). Then, would it be a problem for me to apply ?

June 2018 applicant. Still waiting the process to complete. It's so heart breaking.. Ordered notes and the immigration officer still hasn't reviewed the file Bgc security criminality nothing has started Did they misplaced our file contacted MP as well and they get same reply as I do file awaits a review. There is no redflag the prob is that they haven't even reviewed our file in lvo.there is no place where we register our concerns.

I have recieved pre arrival and did biometric after that i have contacted them and thay have said that we re checking background
We will try our best to expedite your case .
I have this lengthy background check because i have studied in Pakistan and lived there for longer time other wise i think i would have been already granted visa.
