Now while calculating our years of work experience, is it to be calculated frm the time the degree certificate was issued.for eg, my course got completed on may 2014 n i joined for work from june 2014 but my degree certificate was issued only by November 2014.so my doubt is whether my wrk exp will be counted frm june 2014 or from nov 2014

Thanks for the kind responses.
I am glad that I joined this thread.
I am trying to find an answer to the problem in my case, for the way to apply in CEC category. My real time scenario is as follows:
1. In calendar 52 week I complete 1404 hours (considering max 30 hours/week) because first 2 weeks of my work, I wasn't scheduled and didn't get paid as well. So 0 hours.
2. I am achieving 1560 hours in 57 calendar weeks instead of 52 calendar weeks. (My job description doesn't state full time or part time from the company).
My question is that does CIC consider the total numbers of hours worked in 52 calendar weeks(1st Oct .18 to 1 st Oct. 19) or it doesn't matter, the moment candidate achieves 1560 hours of work (considering max. 30 hrs / week) can apply for CEC category.
If you accumulated the required 1560 hours (at a maximum of 30 eligible hours per week) over more than 52 weeks, you can apply. Scenario 2) is applicable.

So, just don´t count those 2 weeks. If you worked full time for the next 52 weeks, then you are eligible.

2. I am achieving 1560 hours in 57 calendar weeks instead of 52 calendar weeks.
BUT you are still not answering the real question, how many weeks did you work full-time (30 or more hours per week)? It should be obvious that if you work full time, there is no need to count hours, just weeks. The hourly equivalent (1560 hours ) of one year of full-time work is given for part-time workers who need to calculate their FTE. Full-time workers do not need to count hours.

(My job description doesn't state full time or part time from the company).
IRCC does not care whether your company considers you full-time or part-time, they have their own definition based on the number of hours you worked per week. That is why it is mandatory to include that detail (number of hours worked per week) in the letter of reference.

You have to work 1 year (52 weeks) full-time, or the equivalent in part-time work (1560 hours), within the 3 years preceding the application date. There is no "continuity" requirement.

You count your work experience for weeks actually worked.

Hi Guys I notice some people have alot of knowledges here about this immigration requirements, please help me to count my hours, I am planning to apply EE through Canadian Experince class, I am working based on sponsor from my company through LMIA which is Full time. My pay stub count as per 2 weeks, some of pay stubs are 40 hours per 2 weeks, because i took off and i will take off again to travel, My question are
1. Does this 40 hours count as 1 week? or doesn't count at all? because if divided each week only 10hrs/week
2. Does it count or add up to my 1560 hours as I am a fulltime worker?
3. What i read in this forum is counting per week total fulltime 52 weeks not counting as per calender year.

Thank you so much i appreciate your help
cheers

1) it will probably count as 40 part-time hours, as long as you didn't work more than 30 hours in one of those weeks.
2) yes, you can combine part and full time work, as long as you meet the total minimum requirements of 1560 hours AND 12 months work.
3) assume 365 days.

Are you paid an annual salary or an hourly wage? They are different. If you are paid an annual salary, then don´t worry about the hours in your paystub - your employer must write in the letter of employment how many hours you work per week.

If you are paid an hourly wage, then you do need to account for a shortage of hours, but paid vacation time is still considered employment. If you are a full-time employee, then you can count two weeks of vacation time as paid employment (each paycheck should show 4% vacation time added to the paycheck, which is the equivalent of 2 weeks).

My question are

1. Does this 40 hours count as 1 week? or doesn't count at all? because if divided each week only 10hrs/week
If you are paid an hourly wage, and f your paystubs are every 2 weeks (you will receive 26 in a year), then the full-time equivalent is 60 hours every 2 weeks. 40 hours every 2 weeks would be considered part-time, so you would:

1) Count the pay periods where you have 60 or more hours as 2 weeks.

2) Where you have fewer than 60 hours for a pay period, add up the part-time hours and divide by 30 to get the number of full-time equivalent weeks.

3) When you add full-time and FTE weeks together, you need 52 to make 1 year.

2. Does it count or add up to my 1560 hours as I am a fulltime worker?
3. What i read in this forum is counting per week total fulltime 52 weeks not counting as per calender year.

You need, at a MINIMUM, 52 weeks of full-time employment, which is a calendar year. Full-time is defined as 30 or more hours per week. If you are full time at a single job, you simply need to work for a full year (52 weeks).

If you work part-.time or have multiple jobs, then you need to calculate the equivalent.

Hello Sir/Ma’am,
I have one question about my job letter. I have NOC B job and I worked more than 60 hours biweekly since I started my job except 5 weeks. But I got that answers already in your previous post so now I have question about my job letter because even though I worked 30 hours/week but my employer (Rogers) mentioned my position as a part-time employee. Will it effect my CEC application?

Hi,

My PGWP started on 30 Jan,2019. I have been working since but I didn’t have fixed schedule. Hours varied. Many weeks have less than 30 hours. But if I count over 1 year, I have 1560 hours. So I know this won’t qualify.
But can I do 52 weeks of 30 hours/week over 2 years and apply.? I have had more than 4 weeks of unpaid leave in the past year. So the work is not continuous. Please help me. And tell me what I can to solve my situation

yes you can do 1560hrs in 2 years. so does how it works:::

1st week u did 30hrs
2nd week--30
3rd week..40
5th week.. 35
6th week.. 25
7th week.. 25
and so on... in total you did 170 hrs. CIC does not add worked more than 30 hrs in a week but does count if worked less than 30hrs(if working full time). if you accomodate 1560hrs in 1 years 3 months ,still you can apply
