Hi All,

I have a question on the Alberta Nomination Program.

I am in the pool with a CRS of 388. Meeting all the eligible criteria of the AINP program and I have not received any invite from Alberta yet. Currently working in the USA, NOC: 2141 Industrial and Manufacturing Engineers

Could anyone please help and let me know what am I missing?

Thanks for your response in advance!

Thanks!

Hi, Alberta picks certain Noc's throughout the year, depending on what they require at the time, so it doesn't mean you have done anything wrong. Have you ticked the Alberta box in your Express Entry profile? If so then, you just have to sit and wait for them to choose your NOC.

I will encourage you to check out their categories of NOCs: high demand, moderately high demand, medium demand and low demand.

Thank you so much for your reply! Looks like it is in Medium Demand. Do you think there are still chances for me to receive a PNP Nomination from Alberta with a Score of 388 at this point?

Yes, I did mark Alberta in my express entry profile, I also marked other provinces too? Should I be marking only Alberta? Could you please let me know.

Well, no one knows for sure what NOCs they will be selecting in the next few draws. 388 is more than enough (if cut off score doesn’t exceed that; 300 is their minimum). I don’t think choosing other provinces affects your chances.

do you need to be working in Alberta to apply for AINP?

Thank you for your response! With 388 being my current score, do you think I can apply for other provinces? Any chances to receive PNP nominations apart from Alberta?

Could you please let me know.

Thanks!

You could look into SINP and PEI. They have the expression of interest system (EOI) with their own selection criteria and score. Ontario also selects from the EE pool like Alberta, but it is pretty competitive; you have almost no chance with that score.

No. No need to tick Alberta only. Plenty of people have received at invite who had ticked all of the boxes. Fingers crossed that you receive an invite soon, sounds like you have done everything right!

Hope so, not sure when they would consider my NOC and when would I receive a invite for Alberta.

Thanks!
