Hello people on here, I will be glad if I get a candid advice here.....I received a letter of interview today scheduled in Accra Ghana for December, my sponsor and I lives in the US and my address and everything is in the US but they scheduled my interview at ACCRA ghana visa office, there`s no way me and my spouse(sponsor) can go to Nigeria for the interview, I am out of status, what if I`m not granted the Visa?
In the letter they said if I`m unable to attend I should inform them with reasons before the date
Please I need your help on this...what should I do?

Your sponsor doesn't need to come for the interview..This situation is tricky You have no option than to go for the interview. Just pray and hope everything works out fine and be ready to answer questions on why you are out of status in the US. Good luck

By the way they ask me to give reasons of not being able to attend the interview...Is there a way they can transfer the interview to a US location?

No - you cannot transfer the interview to the US. It's very important that you try to obtain a visa to attend the interview in Accra. Otherwise IRCC may make a decision without an interview in which case there is a high chance of refusal.

What is your home country?

Just check your past posts. It looks like you are Nigerian. You don't need a visa to travel to Ghana - so nothing stopping you from attending the interview. However once you leave the US, you would be banned from returning (for either 3 or 10 years, depending on the length of your overstay in the US). So returning to the US won't be an option after the interview. You'll need to wait out processing of the application in Nigeria.

Again, very very important you attend the interview.

Yes - I understand that. The interview will not be transferred to the US. You are required to attend the interview in Ghana. If you fail to attend the interview, chances are high the spousal sponsorship application will be refused. Travel to Ghana is easy for Nigerians and no visa is required - so you can certainly attend the interview. Of course returning to the US after the interview will not be possible.
