Hello,

I recieved a strange request from CIC asking me about the birth certificate for unborn baby. PA is in Taiwan and pregnant. I specified that PA was pregnant and the due day would be December in the application(attached Doctor's note). She took medical test without the chest Xray.

CIC said:
This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
1224567890 - PA:
> Provide a copy of the birth certificate for your newborn child showing the names of both
parents. If the child (for which both you and the sponsor are the parents) was born in Canada, you
must provide the long form birth certificate issued by the child’s province or territory of birth. This is
the birth certificate which shows the names of both parents as reported to the provincial or
territorial registrar.
This must be received at this office by: 2019/11/22
As a final reminder, you must also complete the medical examination for you and all family members
within 30 days of this letter if you have not done so previously. You are required to have all your family
members be examined as part of the process of applying for permanent residence in Canada, even if
they will not come to Canada with the principal applicant. This examination of your non accompanying
dependent is in accordance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation section 70(1)(e).

 Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by the English or French
translation completed by a certified translator, and a copy of the original document. If any of the
requested documents are not available, please submit a detailed written explanation.

I'm thinking to send the latest Doctor's note to CIC. Has anyone experienced this kind of request from CIC? Please advise.

Just fill in a webform and tell them baby not born yet. But once baby is born you must submit info. I just did mines

I am also waiting since july 29. no aor yet. I sent 3 webform queries, no reply by them. they are not providing any information to me. I am sick of it.

Just wonder if there is any way to sponsor a child who is born outside of Canada ? Or register citizenship for a child by me as Canadian citizen. Any suggestion or advice ?

Hey everyone, I see many people get MR after 1 week of their AOR, but It has been 3 weeks after I got my AOR email without any further request or update. Is there anyone in a similar situation? What's the median time for this step?

Hi, in my case they sent the AOR email the same day as I enquired, so they replied to me in 1 week with application No. and UCI in it.

well, I got a reply but nothing inside, they need some more information to verify my application. even I given them my temporary file number but they still asking me to send sponsor details and courier details and location where I had send the application. I am surprised of their answer. was it not enough that I had given them temporary file number which I had taken them in a phone call to cic a week before.
anyways. how about you. what did you got answer from them?

I am US citizen waiting for DM. When I receive PPR do I send a photocopy of passport through mail, or digitally using CIC website? Also when I receiver COPR does it come by mail or as an email?

The sponsor going to receive email regarding File Transfer or if there is any representative on you behalf then he/she gonna find the email.
