FP request comes mostly because if your last name, DOb or any other bio-info have a match in their system. It is needed to clearly differentiate the identity. My wife got it last week and we did it next day. it is just a routine process in background check.Hi. I received request for fingerprints today.
Does anyone know why it might have required? because it was not in original application.

based upon most recent data - it might be in the area of 155 days till you receive a notice. (March 4) This all depends upon volume and staffing.my application changed to In Process on Oct 4th , when do you think I might get a test invite ? Office is Scarborough

I am so delighted.
Cheers!
Miy AOR was September 4th. I’m thinking we will have in process soon. I check ecas twice a day.My AOR was received on Sept 05, 2019 after that no more email or updates from CIC.. I hope they didn't forget our application or misplaced it somewhere?
For your In Process you need to check the eCARS online sites. They don't email you on the In process stepMy AOR was received on Sept 05, 2019 after that no more email or updates from CIC.. I hope they didn't forget our application or misplaced it somewhere?
Since you have a trip planned, it might make sense for you to request an urgent processing. Given your location, you could be subject to the fixed date for the temporary office on its next scheduled stop. So best you reach out to them once you have your In Process notification.1. Does the test invite come by mail and will I also receive email? I am over 55 so I don’t test but wonder if I will just get an interview and take oath on the same day. Especially since I will have a long way to travel. I see people in other the spreadsheet for other months who get test and get oath in a couple of days. So I don’t know if I would stay a few days to see if I get oath invite or just go home and wait.
2. Once I get in process will the location that is processing my application show in ecas? I live in rural northern BC, but close to the Alberta border. Vancouver is a 14 hour drive and Surrey is also far but Prince George in Alberta is only 6 hours.
3. I have a trip planned to the states in early April and will need my passport. Hoping the timing works out.
Good luck to everyone!
