Hi everyone, I just contacted MP Erin Weir office on Monday and they replied today and the MP office concluded at the end of the email by saying that: "Your Application looks very close to being Approved (perhaps before 2020)."

Do you guys think this is a good news for sure? (@legalfalcon I hope you don't mind me to ask for your suggestions especially).
Before I saw the MP office's conclusion, I couldn't tell what is really going on there...
Thank you for any suggestions and help!

------------------- (below are the email) ----------------------------
"Here is what Immigration told us:

Thank you for contacting the Information Centre for Members of Parliament and Senators.

We are pleased to provide you with the following details about the status of the applicant’s submission for permanent residence under Federal Skilled Worker Class :

• The application was received at the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) on December 18, 2018.

• The CIO office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if the applicant and their family members (if applicable) meet the eligibility requirements under the class for which they have applied.

o the eligibility requirements assessment was finalized on September 25, 2019.

• The medical examination results are on file and valid until November 2, 2019 for the applicant(s).

o Please note that the responsible office has requested an extension of the medical examination validity to the medical immigration branch on September 30, 2019:

 If the extension request is approved, the next step would be a final review and a final decision.

 If the extension request is denied, the office will send a new medical request to the applicant.

• The criminality verifications are currently valid for the applicant(s).

• The security verifications are currently valid for the applicant(s).

• If the application is approved:

o the applicant and their family members (if applicable) will need to send their passport(s) to the Canadian visa office to obtain the permanent resident visa, and

o the officer will issue the Confirmation of Permanent Residence document which the applicant and their family members (if applicable) will present at the port of entry in order to be granted the status of permanent resident of Canada.

• If the application is refused:

o the officer will send the applicant a refusal letter including instructions to obtain a refund of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee, if it was already paid.

We hope this information is helpful. If you require more information, please do not hesitate to contact us."
This is the most unclear message ever. It merely says that the eligibility is finalised, but the outcome has not been disclosed.

Do you think it would be a good idea to email her then?

Anything that becomes public information, is utterly abused to an extent that people who need it cannot even avail it.

Any Member of Parliament, under the Privacy Act, specifically under section 8(2)(8), which states:

Disclosure of personal information

8 (1) Personal information under the control of a government institution shall not, without the consent of the individual to whom it relates, be disclosed by the institution except in accordance with this section.

g) to a member of Parliament for the purpose of assisting the individual to whom the information relates in resolving a problem;
This provision is only for the MP to obtain information for his constituents only when there is a problem.

However, applicants even in the first month of their application are writing to MP Goodale. A few months ago his office stopped responding, and the same will happen now.

Be patient until the 6 months have passed. The 6 months start from the day your R10 is passed. If you are in a panic and can't wait to know what is happening, consider calling IRCC or request your GCMS notes.

Even if you send an email to the MP, all you get is a generic information. If you have crossed 6 months, by all means send an email, but if you have not, just wait it out.

Hi All,

Can you pls. help me with the below query:

What would happen if I marry a Canadian Permanent Resident, while my PR is in process.

My AOR date is 16th Dec 2018 and there has been no update after medicals clearance (29 Jan).
As per my GCMS notes, My application is under RR due to employment.. I have send them additional documents last month for this (though they have not asked for anything). *My application is at NDVO.

How long should I wait? My fiancee is in Canada and there has been a delay in our marriage because of the PR process.

Really need help. Please advice.
Thanks!

IF you marry a Canadian citizen or PR, you are eligible to spousal sponsorship, which takes 1 year as compared to 6-8 months for EE.

Thanks so much for you reply!

So that means, once I update them that I am married, my process will again start from zero?

No, your current application will continue to process, the marriage will have no impact on your current application.

However, you will also be eligible for spousal sponsorship, if you wish to obtain a PR through that route.

Hello everyone

My AOR is Jan 19 2019.
I haven’t heard anything after biometric letter and meds passed in February.

I received GCMS notes on September 26. The notes read that my POF requires review which states eligibility requires review.

The comments are on “fixed deposits maturity date”.

My file was last touched in March when the agent made these comments. After this, there has been no movement. My file has not been touched ever since.

I am not understanding all this because I haven’t received any kind of ADR or something.

Experts, please help!!

@legalfalcon if you could please help me on this one..

Thanks in advance...

Just called IRCC, they confirmed that my eligibility is now passed and security is in progress, prior to the GU eligibility was met and security was not startedand remained that way for over 6 month till today.
Hi
What phone number are you using to call IRCC?
The 613-944-4000 I used last time no longer works.

613 instructions no longer work since Global Affairs no longer transfers to IRCC.

The good news is that you can still call. Get the TextNow app and do not let it auto select an area code. Use 416 for the area code and it will give you a Canadian number. You can then dial the 888-242-2100 IRCC number using data/WiFi in the app from any country.

Thank you for your response. I agree that this message is still quite unclear. Before I had a RR and security not initiated. This time they let me know eligibility finalized and security valid which kind of giving me some positive information. I saw an ghost update yesterday as well and I suspect it would be medical related.

Hello @legalfalcon,

AOR - Dec 12th, 2018.

Per GCMS notes, my eligibility status is 'Review Required'. The Officer notes stated "Client has declared employer as "C", however work experience has been issued by "E" for this declared work period. - Review Required"

I have been working in an Employer-Client model in USA where, E is my employer (hence the work experience letter from same) and C is the client location that I used to work for. However, I don't remember declaring 'C' as the employer in my application (except for pointing out that my client is C in my Resume).

What are my choices here going forward?

- Raise a CSE and clarify the issue (presenting evidence of pay stubs from every month and bank statement too to show the proof of deposit) - OR
- Wait for IRCC to ask me for clarification.

If the answer is to raise a CSE, wouldn't that cause the officer to think that I have misrepresented myself in the application and lead to a straight denial.

I appreciate any suggestions that you might have.

Thanks,
Shiva
