Can't believe next month will make my app 1 whole year. Sooo excited but yet a bit anxious as I am just waiting to see if my PPR will come soon and not go over the year. Sigh. So far, dealing with Mexico office I find hasn't been bad at all , they always acknowledge when I send docs or if I ask a question..but you know to each his own...just hope I'm not disappointed...patiently waiting.

Only thing that I find a bit troubling is that I haven't heard any PPR's being issued a while now, hopefully people are getting and just not posting lol on here !

Nov 13 here. No PPR yet. No updates on GCKEY only on Ecas stating stated processing July 12 then received AOR2 Aug 1. Hopefully they start releasing PPR for all of us soon.

I have my passport with me, so far the process to stamp your passport and receive it again its around 1 month, i sent mine in August 27 and it came to my country El Salvador in October 27, take in consideration this time on your process!

Is it true that in June 2019, quebec has reached their quotas for immigrants, therefore regardless of the date the apps were submitted, none will be reviewed until new year!?

Anyone else received this by email from Mexico? (Note thats not me, im not in QC and my husband has his PR now)

I'm a Quebec applicant and what I find curious about this letter is the ending: "Regards | Cordialement, Immigration section" Regards is English, and in Quebec a government letter will never be mixed with English. I have no doubt THIS IS A FAKE LETTER. And yes I know this letter comes from the Canadian Embassy in Mexico but the same language rules apply. Besides I'm NOT an immigration expert, but Family Reunification is Federal, and yes I a few months ago the Quebec Provincial Government significanlty reduced the number of applications but those were related to students visa, work visas and NOT Spousal sponsorship because it is under the Family Reunification Program wihich is Federal. Regardless, the moment I saw this letter which sadly comes from an unreliable third party source, I considered it FAKE NEWS

On Gckey does it show that they have started your background check ??
Doesn't say that for me , only that eligibility is being reviewed. Hopefully they are already processing background checks and just not updating Gckey. They had asked for updated PCC in August so I don't really know.

But yes I hope they will release PPR's soon. Guys please don't neglect to update us with any progress with your files, progress for you...is hope for us all...I can't stress enough how much of a comfort this forum has been for me ! Let us continue to help each other..this whole process will all be over soon.

No update on Gckey for BCC it only shows in progress & eligibility is being reviewed like yours. In AOR 2 letter it does mention that due to the high limited resources dedicated to processing the thousand of applications currently in process we are unable to respond to request for status updates on your file... So I take this that they are too busy to even update Gckey. I'm sure you've received the same letter. One thing for us it that PA's PCC expired beginning of September , we haven't hear anything about sending new ones. I pray that we won't have to provide new ones as for Peru beside the PCC you also need to do the criminal and incarceration certificate all have to be stamped by the Ministry of External Affair and on top of that all 3 documents need to be translated to English. Keep the faith and good luck all !
