Hello Guys,

What is the current status on soft landing. I saw a post where a person was frustrated due to his entry denial as he was not moving to Canada permanently immediately and was asked to apply for PR when moving.

I plan to do soft landing, but to be on safer I can stay permanently in Canada if there is a risk of soft landing

straight up rejection. I had called a few times before where they said everything was fine as well. My background check was completed January 29th and I was told that was the hold up, when actually it was my employment.
That’s scary. So all that procedure Fairness thing is not real.

Hi All!

I am flying to Toronto on 11.10.19 - 06.11.19. Anyone going to be there during that period?
Not sure about the rest, but I hardly know anyone out there and it would be awesome to meet people who are probably just as lost as I would be! :p

A Ghost Update! Finally they touched my file!

My background status changed to: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

But my eligibility still shows "we are reviewing your eligibility". I had uploaded paystubs and job duties letter again in July when I got to know that the ofiicer was not convinced I had work experience and marked Not Met back in March (as per GCMS notes I verified this).

Hopefully they accept the updated letters and move forward with my application.

Refusal letter today.
Due to personal circumstances I have had to go back to the UK anyway. So it's a nice bit of closure as I wait for my flight back home. But I wanted to share the reasons mine was rejected to help others.
My previous letter of employment was insufficient in outlining evidence of main duties. So look up that NOC code and get your employers to outline the required experience.

Anyways good luck on your Canada journey! I have had an amazing 2.5 years out here and you are all in for a great adventure!

Best of luck x
Sorry to hear that Ruthio. Like someone said earlier if you were never notified for additional information you have good chances with an appeal. In fact, have you ever asked for your GCMs notes? In these notes or when you called and they told you everything was fine, were you informed about what was your eligibility status exactly (Review? Recommended pass?)

Hi

Please guide me what can I do now.
My AOR is dec 18, 2018
Everything is passed but security not started from june. Everytime I call them, they say just wait. But it's been so long now. My file is in Vancouver office.
Can I do something with this?

I think they are right... you have to wait, but call ircc every 2 weeks just to remind them about yourself.

Try meditation.

For someone who's eligibility is passed,
Do you know how long does it take for the Bridging work permit to arrive?
My WP expires April10th and I don't want to be left in implied status.

Hi!

As meditation without tackling the root of the problem might not work, I'm coming with another perspective.

Lately, a friend got her PPR and we discovered that she had her security completed already in July (the date on the profile's update after stamping). She has always been told, up to the final ghost update, that Eligib. was RP and security hadn't started. In short, the file was pending only for the final approval of Eligib. since then. But the communicated data was not accurate, because I think not updated timely.

We did some digging, and it was not an individual case. I welcome people in this thread, especially the ones who had their PPR quite late, to share if that was the case for them as well.

So there is a chance your security is done but call agents can't see it. I'm in the very same situation, and another possibility that I've started considering myself is being under SS (even though so far, I've had no sign that it is the case). I personally again ordered GCMs note, because, under SS, one might as well just forget about the application for another 4 months at least.

Anything else that can be done? Absolutely none! Unfortunately :( In fact, I'm pretty sure by now that regardless of how much one calls, orders notes, raises webforms, writes to MPs, has an incredible lawyer as a representative... Absolutely nothing will draw attention to a particular file.. It will just go at the same pace as the queue it is stuck in.. I would be happy to know that I'm wrong.
