The problem with my application is that we submitted it last july 2018 but they just received it almost recently this year april 1st to be exact.. dont know why it takes them a while to received our application.. 9 months before we recieved AO1.. So all in all i waited 15 months but my timeline just started in april.. Is their anyone in the group with same situation? By the way my application is spousal with no dependent
When you sent it did you keep the tracking number and information on it's arrival? Something is seriously wrong if you sent it in July and only recieved your AOR in April.

Actually since we submitted my files i kept on updating our representative the current status but he kept on telling us to wait considering my files was being reviewed by officers, but we heard nothing from them for 9 months, only recently in april that we received email that my file was received by them.

Then your Representative has been lying to you or negligent as 9 months is beyond excessive, did even if they sent the app from the Philippines 2-3 months would be the very most. Most of the Representatives out there are a joke, Canadian or Philippines based?

100% , this is typical filipino behavior. They will say something is complete even if not started, to "save face". its odd a quirk of the culture. They don't consider it lying either. Have dealt with it every time over my 15+ visits there and daily with our companies back office support in Makati.

I would never use a Filipino representative... They screwed up with her application... They probably sent it out late to Sydney. Sent out in July and received it in April? Was the application sent by a turtle? The fact that they now started processing her application is a good sign, things are moving forward.

Thats what im thinking every single time. Or maybe their fee wasnt good enough for them, and they just make it relatively slower so you can insinuate what they want and give them more cash so they will prioritize your file? But we paid them whole for god sake.. Anyway im just hoping that this time since my file is moving, i am praying for good result very soon.. Cross finger.

I would approach your Representative and tell them the partner in Canada will be going to the local MP due to the delay and you need the tracking information for your paperwork. If your file ends up in MVO hell then you could find yourself waiting another 9-10 months meaning 2 years from when you thought you applied.

As the PA I think you can revoke your Representatives power and take it over for yourself, might be something to check into, doesn't sound like they are doing you any favors. As others have mentioned, DON'T use an agency in the PH that says they know CDN immigration laws.

My wife kept falling for the ad she saw there, its caused a few minor arguments before she understood that they are all full of it when they say they can have any impact on your application. The process is not that hard, follow the instructions given by CIC they have made it simple to do on your own. You would only need a lawyer or rep if your file is denied or an issue arises.

While they make it seem your PPR is just around the corner, It all depends where you app ends up, if your app stay in CPC Missasauga you may only take a few months, if your file gets transferred to Manila then you are in for aou should log into the ECAS using sponsor DOB and Country of birth to see if they are approved yet and if they have started working on your file. wait. YAs for more more requests, they can still ask for additional documents and or an interview if you end up with your file in Manila. It can be realistically 12 months from receipt of your file. At least the file is in being worked on. April 19- April 20.

Sometimes applications go quickly in MVO, just look at this applicant:

May 2 - Sent to missisauga - 49 days
May 9 - Medical passed - 56 days
June 10 - Started processing the application in ecas - 88 days
June 26 - AOR2(manila) - 104 days
July 4 - Ghost update - 112 days
July 9 - Pre arrival - 117 days
July 9 - DM - 117 days
July 9 - PPR - 117 days

Yea CPC-M to MVO is slow but direct MVO is fast. September has been a shit show with MVO regardless though.

Thank You very much.
