How long is the police clearance certificate valid for?
For the country you are living in, 6 months.
For the country you lived in the past, technically it stays valid forever as long as you don't return to that country after it's issued.
However it's always better if you can get a PCC that is dated more recently

Got admitted into a Masters Program. I think I'm just going to go and start that, 30 extra points when I graduate -
Hi,

First of all congratulations!
Could you please share some details of the program?

Eg. duration, tuition fee, PGWP duration?
Also did you have to share GRE score for the admission?

Hello Guys,

My concern is that I have been in USA with J-1 Visa status also I worked as a work and travel student in 2008. During my stay in USA, I visited Niagara falls and at that day,our tourist guide told that whoever wants to see Niagara falls view from other side are not required visa by Canadian Government, so that guys you are free to cross the bridge. I know that it sounds ridiculous, but we were young and we crossed the USA border and Arrive to Canada Border. Officer nicely told us , As you are J-1 visa status students, You are not allowed to come over here, If you want, you guys need to get a visa. He gave us a paper in order to make us eligible and to turn back to USA border. And we gave this paper to USA border and they allowed us to reenter back to USA.

There is a statutory question in ITA, states that " Have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?"

So should I say yes? to this question?

Good morning/evening to you :) My express entry profile was submitted on Sep 17, 2019 and CRS score is 447. Still working on improving the score by re-attempting language tests (ITELS/Celpip). As per the latest update, as of Sep 12, Ontario has already sent 5200 nominations. With score 447 and NOC 2171), What are my chances of getting NOI from the Ontario?

My work permit is expiring early Apr'2020. Is it recommended to apply for work permit extension in parallel while waiting for ITA? PR process may not get completed by 10 Apr 2020 (even if I get ITA in dec '2019). What is your suggestion on applying for work extension in this case?

That's clearly yes to me because of `denied entry`. As long as you give them enough supporting idea that shouldn't prevent from you anything. It's always better to tell them so you won't regret later. Misrepresentation is a big deal when coming to immigration stuff.

Hello, Dear Senior Member (and others)

So my spouse (wife) will NOT accompany me, besides her medical exam and police certificate, what other documents are needed from her?

She has very low education and her previous jobs really low level and she has not worked since 2015 or so ...

I hope the medical exam tracking sheet and police certificate are the only things that are needed to upload from her.

All replies will be very much appreciated, thank you!

Yeah, that's all you need. Plus a no objection certificate for using the funds if you have a joint account and using it to provide the proof of funds.
