I just visited the ROH thread out of curiosity.

I was at 453 last year when I got ITA for draws hovering at 440. People at 430s were crying tears.
The previous year people at 410s were crying tears when 420+ got ITAs.
It is quite unfortunate that threshold is 460+ now, when last year I thought my score at 453 was indestructible. For what I know the quality of people at 420s are not significantly better/worse than those at 460+ - It is just that the game has changed - Quite like market supply and demand.

During my time in 2018 it was paper based IELTS once a month and I blew tonnes of money and booked 6 months of IELTS slots for myself and spouse after the first time we failed. It was so much money that I could have a got a mid size sedan car with touchscreen music system - but I din't bat an eyelid when I spent the money. Even if I was mildly lackadaisical or stingy I would have missed the bus. Looks like in hindsight, If I was few months late in applying I would have been in tears now (at 453) and looking at ROH threads.

If you have changes to make in your life that will help you move towards the goal of ITA - like get the next degree or learn french or improve IELTS. Do that NOW! not a moment later. Also, consider the possibility of getting your spouse to do IELTS/degree/work. Don't give up.

Even for those who got ITAs, do not fool around and feel victorious. Do your due diligence and read the fine print. Review, Re-Review and Re-Re-Review your documents. Get a dispassionate person/friend to review it (I did it). Don't take shortcuts and try acting smart. You have only ONE SHOT.

Good luck. Feel free to dm me for any help or to review your docs.

I think they are not going for 90k this year or else they would have increased number of ITAs to 3900 instead of sticking to 3600. It is clear indication that they are only meeting targets of 81,000 and not going higher. Any thoughts guys?
Actually I was trying to compare no of applicants invited till 4th september 2018 and 2019..it was 1200 approx not accurate invited in 2019 more than 2018..

Absolute tripe. What do you mean by the statement, folks at 420 aren’t better or worse than 460 plus and you quote out of context words like supply and demand. Supply and demand comes into play when a person’s score fluctuates depending on external factors. CRS is not awarded on a curve.

It is just that people with better qualifications are applying in the last year odd pushing the score up. This person has higher points resulting from better IELTS score, education, work experience.

Better to face the facts and work harder rather than listen to nonsense like supply and demand, everyone’s the same etc.

I believe you are kidding yourself. I was at 398 before I jumped to 453 after a masters degree. So I AM THE SAME PERSON who was a sub 400 who got a 450+ ITA. Does that mean myself at 398 was a worse person than me at 453?! There is hardly any difference between a person at 420 vs 460.

But 460+ are only getting ITAs NOW vs 413 couple of years back NOT BECAUSE 460 people are ALWAYS smarter. 460 people have done something more which 420 people will now need to do. THEY ARE THE SAME PEOPLE.

Supply of ITAs has not wavered that much. Every year it is about 70k-90k. But the pool is rapidly growing - which means demand is greater than supply hence leading to higher CRS scores.

Agreed to your point. However, we cannot deny the fact that applicants within a lower age bracket like 25 to 30 years have an edge without any effort, they can easily get a score in 460s, 470s by getting 8777 in IELTS and having a Masters degree. Whereas, a person above 34 years of age will be in 440s with similar qualification and IELTS score.

Any international students I know doesn't like the age score because their age is close to 30 or will be over 30 when they apply with 1 year of work experience but no one argues about Canada is one of the easiest English speaking country among developed countries so I think we just have to live with it.

I would suggest you to write IELTS again and get CLB 10. You have a good score alrady, agreed. But it can be improved. With a CLB 10 and Masters from UK and 3 year work experience, My CRS was safe in all these draws (Single applicant). I don't know your situation and circumstances but before deciding the journey is over give it a try at lease, what is there to loose after all
Thanks so for your advise but the problem is I'm short of 10 months for 3 years experience. I have been freelancing quite a lot so trying to get some reference letters from clients. The problem is there is not much information out there to prove freelancing experience and the success cases. These are all clients based in UK and US.

Mate SINP announced the new in-demand list yesterday. Now they have a bigger in-demand list and they only specify 129 occupations that are ineligible. So it has almost become like an EE. So please check there. If u lose hope, then u would never know when the opportunity has knocked your door. Please keep your eyes open always and do best at what you are currently busy with.

Also, keep an eye on new 491 to launch in November.

https://www.cicnews.com/2019/09/saskatchewan-significantly-expands-list-of-eligible-in-demand-occupations-0912805.html
Thanks man, the site looks a bit confusing or maybe I am under stressed. To summarise, the continuous one year experience in the last 10 years I have is in NOC 6221 and I am not sure if that is eligible. The problem is that this work experience started in July 2014 to July 2015. Other 1 year 2 months is in Marketing positions, in different jobs and non continuous.

Is this something you can shed some light on?

Also, for I dont think I get this "Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid .""

birthday after October 2. created profile over 18 months back.
Okay, so the points won't decrease till 2nd of October draw, that's clear.
But how could a profile be 18 months old when there is a 12 month period for it to expire itself?

Anyway, I assume your profile is 6 months old or 18 weeks old, you should have gotten the ITA by now.

The link I had shared included a list of ineligible NOCs, everything else is eligible.
