I think the system works like this:
01- They receive physical application packages and put a date tag on them and then put them on a queue
02- After a month (4 to 5 weeks) they open packages and check them for completeness (check if any document is missing based on checklist) if package is not complete then return in to applicant and if it is complete put it on another queue
03- After 60 to 70 days after receive date they import all application's (form) data into their system and make a new electronic version of application and issue AOR with application number. If any part of form is incomplete again they return the application to applicant.
04- They send physical application to the local case processing office and when application received by them and they start to work on application "In process message" appears in ECAS system.
05- All remaining steps like requesting finger print, taking test, making decision, oath ceremony happens in local case processing office.
I don't know the answer for the first question, but for the second the average time is about 40 days. Thanks for the clarity! Does ECAS mention which office processes the application? What's the average time from AOR to IP
ECAS doesn't show office processing your application but if they ask for finger print, it shows where do you have to send the result. The time between AOR and In Process depends on your local case processing office and their backlog. As Sylvain1 said, it can be happened from 1 day to 50 days after AOR.Thanks for the clarity! Instead of replying to my post. Someone deleted my post. Very helpful!
Ok so it happened like this. Was it a duplicate post? And by that I mean, had you posted the same thing twice in another thread? Usually, admin deletes duplicate posts, I know because it has happened to me before.
Ok so it happened like this.
First time login to the forum.
I saw the July Forum, so i posted my question there and then realized to make a specific post.
Both are unanswered so far.
Thank you.Oh yea, unfortunately one has to go. But you can reword your question differently and post on here, so we can try to answer
Thank you.
I want to know how AOR comes, by email or by mail.
What is the link to check your status online?
How the AOR looks like?
Ok so that is the linkSo it is usually sent your email. And then you can use the information provided in the email to link to ECAS.
Both pages? What do you mean by that?I was so nervous that I didn't send both pages of my Presence Calculator but I guess I did as they did not return my application since Jul 18. So I'm just hoping and waiting for my AOR to come this week or next
