COngrat, do you have your BIL? the IRCC sent you the email that has the same format as mine?
I have already done my medicals and biometrics. I linked my application online so it says that I do not need medicals and biometrics. They are processing my BG check.

I got my BIL but I had already given my biometrics this March 11 2019 for work permit. Should I pay again and upload the fees page. I had already submitted a copy of the biometric page along with my documents.

Biometrics for PR is needed even if you gave your biometrics for a work permit before. However if you’re applying from inside Canada there’s a temporary waive of the need of the biometrics because of system issues. If you’re applying outside you will need to give biometrics again.

Here’s the information about this: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/identity-management/biometrics/exemptions.html

Thanks for letting me know. I just gave my biometrics for work permit this year and when I linked the PR account it came with the same date so I thought I covered for it. It makes sense now. Thanks....

I'm applying inside Canada. I just paid my bio fee to make sure in case they need it, but I still cannot use the the online tool to check my application now.

@mari.kmedeiros @Starz123 I've sent a letter of explanation attached to my application initially, explaining that I already have provided biometrics, also my biometrics information and medical exam as it's still valid. When I received my AOR, my medical was showing as already passed and it shows my biometrics information on the Applicant Information section on my profile. Also, my biometric status is: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes. I have already received the pre-arrival letter as well. I think everything is good with Biometrics, but after your message I got a bit confused. Any thoughts?

If at any point you need to give biometrics, you will receive a Biometric Information Letter requesting it, don't worry! :) But as you already have MP and pre-arrival, most likely you don't need it.

I also provided biometrics before (for work permit) and my application shows the validity of those biometrics also. However I paid for the biometrics for the PR because I didn't know about the exemption, and I received a refund a few days after my AOR of the biometrics fee, because I am applying inland and therefore, based on the link I sent, I don't have to provide it at this point.

I think in your case your inland applicant. I am outland applicant but I thought a biometric fee is valid for 10 yrs. Mine was just taken this March I don't know why they need it again. Anyways I don't want to delay. So I paid it. Do I have to wait for the biometric instruction letter from them as to where to do it.

Yeah, I also don’t know why we need to give biometrics twice... makes no sense to me, but, well.. what can you do, right? :D
In this link here there’s some information about it: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp

That was crazy fast! Congratulations! Anything different/relevant on your application that could explain why yours was so quick?
