Hello guys....

My present status as per Ralph’s email on 29/08/2019 is :

MEDICALS - Passed
ELIGIBILITY IN PROGRESS - Recommended Pass
CRIMINALITY - Passed
SECURITY - Not started
INFO SHARING - Complete

My AOR is 16/02/2019 and VO - CPC OTTAWA and we are a family of 3 (me {primary applicant}, my wife n my daughter).

Today I just got an email reply for my first CSE webform request sent by me last week. I am not sure if this is a standard reply OR Is it really case specific.

My question is - DO THEY ALWAYS MENTION “YOUR BACKGROUND VERIFICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY IN PROCESS” in general in the format or only when they are really processing the files ????

Sorry, may be I am trying to read through the lines.

I am copy pasting the entire reply. Please have a look and share your valuable insights as to whether it is a Generic reply or a CSE reply.

Good day xxxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your application for permanent residence:

· Your application was received via your account on February 16, 2019.

  • The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
    • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.

· Your application is currently being processed at the Case Processing Centre (CPC-O) in Ottawa, Ontario.

  • The background verifications are currently in process.

  • The medical examination results on file are valid for you and your spouse and your dependent child.
IRCC is committed to reviewing most permanent resident applications submitted online within a 6-month time frame. Although the processing times may vary, rest assured that we are making the necessary efforts to finalize your application within established processing times.

Furthermore, any person applying for permanent resident status (except live-in caregivers) and their family members*, if applicable, must have a medical exam done by a Panel Physician authorized by IRCC before sending their application.

Your medical exam results are valid for 12 months only. If you do not come to Canada as a permanent resident within that time, you may need to have another exam.

For more information, please visit our website.

*A family member is a spouse, common-law partner, dependent child or dependent child of a dependent child.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:

Sincerely,
Xxxxxxx

P.S. - sorry for the long post guys. I think the painful waiting period is taking its toll on me
I must say that you got a very detailed reply!! We share the same credentials :)

Up to the Furthermore section, it is a generic reply in my opinion. Except the AOR date, it is the same as the one I got in April,July and August, word to word. I know from my GCMS notes that no one was touching my file at that time. I have never seen anyone getting specific status by raising a CSE. It is always the same, received on this date, the office is verifying your eligibility, will contact you if further info is needed, background checks/verification are in progress.

So, someone got PPR last week on September 5th (AOR Feb 8th)
Today someone else got PPR, on September 10 (AOR Feb 11th)

What does that tell ya? It took IRCC to move from AOR 8th to 11th in 3 business days!! So they handle 4 AOR days in 3 days.

So lets calculate:
AOR 12 13 14 15 = They should get PPR in 3 business days! (End of this week)
AOR 16 17 18 19 = They will get by Sep 18th.
AOR 20 21 22 23 = By 23rd.
AOR 24 25 26 27 = By the end of month!

This calculation is based on current volume of applicants! So basically Express Entry officers are 1 month behind.
Everyone should get the PPR in 7 months EXACTLY!

Case closed!

I hope you are correct and everybody gets their PPR by the end of the month or before that. :)
BTW, did you conclude this based on just two cases? :D

No theory works for IRCC. But it is good to build theories to keep hope alive:p

Yeah, i guess global affairs is no longer entertaining calls regarding immigration. Heard they were planning to shut it down a long time ago, mainly because of the volume of calls and also IRCC doesn't want applicants talking to agents.

Honestly speaking, the agents were waste of resources. It is very hard to get useful information from them. Either they didn't have latest information or they were not allowed to tell the actual status of the file. They will tell what you can see in your dashboard only. If you ask a step deeper, they would say, they don't have that info.

Now through webform also I don't think that we would get much help as they have standard drafted replies which they do copy and paste. IRCC seriously needs to come up with more transparent system to track the application.

Everybody's experience is different with IRCC. My experience with the agents were really nice with the exception of just one. An agent named John was really helpful in providing even the tiniest details about the progress of application. He even told me that my ECA verification from WES site and IELTS TRF verification from BC website is done. He was able to provide almost all the information which made me feel like I wasted my money by ordering GCMS notes, there was nothing new in it which he didn't already tell me.
All other agents answered all my questions clearly, except the one "when will I get my final result?" which no one answered :(
Web form is always a waste of time. I have never seen anything useful in them. If you ask for the status of your applicaiton, its always a copy paste reply.
Now, Mr. Goodale's office is the only option to find out specific status like criminality and eligibility. But, unless he gets elected again, even that option will be gone soon.

Unfortunately, No.
The other number works only form inside Canada. I am looking all over the internet to see if there is anyway to call them. I couldn't find anything so far.
Let's hope someone will post a way to get in touch with them
