just waiting to pass medical.. bio is being done next week and hopefully police certificate won’t take too long!

How do we know that our file has been transferred to the visa office?? Medical received and already on GC Key on Aug 26 but wondering how we know the file is been transferred. Thanks

It's not necessarily the case that medical request is shortly after the biometrics request. As the medical results expire after one year, some people don't get it until later in the process, as it would be unfortunate if the processing dragged on to have to retake the medical exam in order to be able to enter Canada. In the case of Quebec applicants such as myself (where there's an extra load of paperwork to send), the medical request is generally sent after the Quebec application gets processed.

This email and attached request would go to PA. If you are not set up to receive your correspondence by email you'll be waiting for a paper copy but I'm sure no one does this. The letter itself is not located anywhere else, like GCkey. Check your junk mail. If you can't find it. Call them if you're sure you don't have it so they can resend.

We got PPR today.

Application Received: June 17
AOR1: August 8
Biometrics Request: August 13
Sponsor Approval: August 14
Medical Request: August 14
Biometrics Passed: August 19
Medical Passed: August 26
eCAS shows 'We started processing your application...': September 3
Decision Made: September 5
PPR: September 6

We never did get a VO transfer email or a proper AOR2, but PPR did end up coming from CPC-M which explains the quick timeline.
Not that we're complaining!

Still trying to understand why some are sent to Mississauga and done in a few months while others go elsewhere and take 12. Can you give some details about your app? Like where is PA from...married? Length of relationship? Dependents? Inland or outland? Anything else? Thanks!

My medical request came through GCkey, not through my regular email.

@shoaibmozid try contacting them through the webform first, and you can also ask for an extension, as you have not received the request letter. Include a screenshot of your ECAS showing that it says they have sent you the medical request, along with a screenshot of your GCKey account (specifically the "Messages about your Application" section on your application page itself) showing that you have not received the request, because once you have linked your application to your GCKey any request messages should be going through that and not the mail. I find I get a better response from submitting a webform vs calling the helpline.
